Chapter Fourteen:

The guys helped me put my bags in the car and they all headed their separate ways, except Reese. He seemed to know something was on my mind.

"Are you okay?" He asked, looking into my eyes.

"Yeah, it's just Alex. He kissed me a while back and I thought it meant something to him, but I guess I was wrong. I mean he was there with her and he's going out with her. I don't even know if I like him. I just feel bad for using you guys," I confessed and he just laughed in reply. I was confused by his reaction to my confession.

"We were happy to be used. Besides you were modeling those things for us before he ever walked into that store, so you weren't using us. We're your friends and we'll back you up."

"Who said you're my friend, Reese?" I looked up at him, smiling. He was taken aback by my comment and then a smile slowly crept up on his face.

"I didn't know you would have a problem with being my friend," he said, stepping closer to me. I backed away slowly.

"Oh, so you think I'll do whatever you say and you can just boss me around like everyone else at school. I do what I want and when I want, mister," I said. I was becoming a little scared because of the look in Reese's eyes. It seemed almost lustful.

"Prove it," he whispered. He had me backed up into my car and his lips were a breath away from mine. I knew what he meant. He wanted me to kiss him, but only if I wanted. At that moment, my hormones decided for me and I shoved my lips against his.

I was shocked by my sudden forwardness, but I ended the kiss quickly and walked to my driver side without looking at him.

"See you later, Reese's Pieces," I said with a smile in my voice.

He backed away from my car and I just backed out of the space and drove off. I had a lot more fun than I thought I would. I arrived home to a darkened house and I quickly took my things upstairs and put them away. I decided to take a nice long shower. I was happy that Alex had seen other guys looking at me. It served him right for mistreating me like he did. I was hurt and I would admit it but I didn't like him that way. I thought about how my singing class was going and how school was going so far. The homecoming game and dance were fast approaching and Mia would have a date because Gabe had already asked her. I wasn't sure if I even wanted to go, much less take a date.

I got out of the shower still contemplating it and my growing popularity. The ringing of my cellphone broke my thoughts.

"Hello?" I answered not looking at who was calling.

"They're finally having a school talent show!" Mia screeched excitedly into the phone.

"Okay, your point being?"

"Duh! You have to sing! Gabe and I will play for you. We offered our talented fingers for those without supplied music."

"I don't think so."

"Come on, Raven! You're such a good singer! You should really do it!"

"Okay, fine. I'll think about it. I'm not promising anything, though." She squealed in triumph and I had to pull the phone away from my sensitive ear.

"Okay, Rave. Got to go, bye!" She hung up before I could say anything in response. I sighed.

I put on one of the new items I had bought. It was a purple and black lacy bra and matching panties. I put on a silk robe my mom had bought me for my last birthday, just as a knock came at my door. I stiffened. I hadn't realized anyone had come home and I wasn't sure it was anyone I wanted to see in my new sexy lingerie. I tied the sash around my waist, trying to cover as much as possible. I unlocked the door and opened it cautiously.
