Chapter Thirty-Three:
I followed the guys on my bike to Reese's family's mansion and was shocked when we went inside.
"Happy Valentine's Day!" everyone shouted. I felt like it was my birthday, as I looked around at the red and pink decorated room. I smiled as I took in the presence of all my friends and even some peers from school, including Mia and Caleb.
"What are you guys doing?" I asked, still giddy from the surprise.
"We all wanted to be your valentine!" Mia said, as she walked up to me. "I'm sorry about Danny Ricio in seventh grade." I looked at her, knowing that my next words would either fix our friendship or keep us broken.
"You know I always forgive you. You're my best friend, Mimi," I said, noticing the room had suddenly gotten eerily quiet while they waited for my reaction. No pressure, guys.
"I love you, Raven. I missed you so much. I hope we never stop talking ever again," she said, pulling me into a bone-crushing hug. Everyone cheered at our reunion and I thanked everyone for doing this for me.
I definitely have the best friends any girl could ask for.

Mia and I were asked to tell the story about Danny Ricio and how Mia had made the valentine he gave me, and we got some 'aww's and some laughs.
Everyone continued around and told our worst and best Valentine's Days. Jaxon told us about this extravagant valentine that he gave when he was a freshman and dweebish like that. He had gotten a horse and had rode in with a large box of chocolates and a single rose. The lucky girl was his very first girlfriend and she had also been the reason for his worst Valentine's Day the following year. He had admitted to finding her with one of his study friends the night before Valentine's Day. It was a solemn story.
Mason didn't have anything that extravagant, but he did tell us about what he did for his current girlfriend and it was super sweet and cliche. Reese wasn't much of a believer in love, but he did give a girl a dozen roses once. He said that his worst one was when he was in second grade and his mom brought his homemade valentine to school because he had left it on the kitchen table at home. His intended valentine had laughed at him and he had never given it to her.
Mia took the reins from there and began telling everyone about her every single Valentine's Day. She was a pretty popular chick come Valentine's Day each year. When she ran out of stories, a comfortable silence filled the room and we just enjoyed each other's company.
"I think this is so--" Kali started, but put a hand to her mouth and ran off. Zane took off after her and we all exchanged looks because no one had been drinking anything remotely alcoholic.
It seemed that we all had the same thought at the same time because we all that knowing look on our faces as we came to the realization that there could only be two reasons why that had just occured. A being that she was probably sick with the flu but it wasn't exactly flu season, was it? Or it could be the other reason which was....
"Okay, I think that's all we had planned for this party," Devlin said, bringing me out of my reverie. She stood and smiled down at me.
"Thanks, you guys. For doing this. You really didn't have to, but I do appreciate it. Officially the Best Valentine's Day ever!" I smiled and everyone came in for a group hug. I was glad to have my best friend back and I was lucky to have such wonderful friends.
The party ended on a good note and we seemed to have completely forgotten all about Zane and Kali.
