Chapter Thirty-One:
I went to my locker to put my jacket and helmet in it, I was glad it would fit in my locker because I didn't want to carry it around all day long. Zane walked up next to me and I sighed. I had a feeling he would try to talk to me, eventually. I was just hoping it was later, a lot later.
"Hey, about....you know," he started, clearly not wanting to be specific.
"About what?" I asked, playing ignorant.
"Kali. We broke up when we first moved here but we were still talking on the phone. When I got back from the vacation, she surprised me with the news that her parents were letting her move down here. I was very much single when we were on vacation." He sounded like he was trying to reassure me.
I laughed. It hurt, sure, but I had figured I would never see him again and I had tried not to fall for him. Besides, there was always the sexy and very available Walker.
"I don't care, Zane. It was a fling for a reason. It was kind of you to give me that necklace but you know what?" I reached into my purse and pulled out a little box. I had hidden the necklace in there until I had decided what to do with it. "I think you should have it back. Only boyfriends give their girlfriends jewelry and we weren't that to each other."
He reluctantly took the box and I was called away by Reese and Jaxon. I didn't bother to look back. I cared about him, sure, but what good was that going to do me when the girl that was with him first moved to a completely different state, just for him. I couldn't compete with that. Besides the only thing that broke them up was the fact that he had moved.

It was a week or two later (they hadn't been very eventful), and I was walking over to Reese and Jaxon as Henry walked up to them. I was wondering what was going on between those two, but I wasn't going to pry. Henry and Jaxon, I mean.
"So, Raven, how about joining us this weekend for movie night?" Jaxon suggested and I looked at him skeptically. He wasn't one for movie nights and I had a feeling he was planning on making a movie, instead of watching them.
"No thanks, but Andrew said that he really enjoyed your last movie night," I said calmly, throwing Jaxon for a loop.
"Oh, did he?"
"What are you guys talking about?" Reese asked, but was interrupted by Devlin.
"Reese!" She called to him.
Devlin had been following Reese around like she was a lovestruck Twihard and he was the oh so handsome Jacob. [No offense to the Team Edward fans.] I thought it was kind of cute. I hadn't seen much of the twins. Ashton was in strong "like" with his girl, Sara, and Alex was still with Valerie, although most of their interactions consisted of them arguing.
Mia and Caleb had tried to reconcile with me, but I had told them straight up that it was either me or Alicia. I still hadn't gotten an answer from them. I had questioned Gabriel about the whole Mia-pregnancy test thing, and he had spilled the beans to me and me alone. Not to be uttered to anyone else. He told me that she had gotten a false positive and had taken another two tests, which both came up negative and she had gotten her monthly visit by her 'Aunt Flo.' She said that first test was probably a dud. She and Gabriel were apparently speaking a lot more, now. But just as friends, he had assured me.
Helena started talking to Mason, who seemed to blush every time he was around her. It was like everyone was pairing off and I was just here, watching everyone else. I was perfectly fine being alone, really. Liar!
"Hey, Walker, where are you from again?" said a girl, leaning against him, enthralled with his very presence.
"Austrailia." He smiled down at her and she swooned, literally. Luckily, her friends were there to catch her.
