Chapter Forty-Three:
I stayed under the hot water and thought about how different Skylar seemed when he was trying hard to be liked. I guess he wasn't used to not being liked. I wanted to go out with him again, but I wasn't sure how a second date would go if I was the one asking in for a second one. There was really only one way to know I guess. I hoped that Marco turned out to be just as nice. I wondered where he was going to take me. I got out of the shower and looked for some cute underwear and put them on. I looked through my closet and tried to find something casual, but still cute. I decided on some shorts and a tank top with a dinosaur on it that said "RAWR means I love you in dinosaur." I love cute shirts like that.
I put on a pair of matching converse and decided to browse Facebook while I waited for Marco. I had texted him the address and he hadn't texted me back. I just hoped the busy college guy didn't forget about our date. I was on my News Feed when I got two little IMs. I opened the first and saw it was from JustSkylar.
JustSkylar: Hey, how are you doing?
IvyRaven: You just saw me like an hour ago.
JustSkylar: Yeah, I know.
IvyRaven: You're sounding like such a girl but it was a fun date.
JustSkylar: But you liked hanging out with this girl. Up for another?
IvyRaven: Sure, how about next Friday? Man, I feel like a lesbian.
JustSkylar: Whatever! I'll pick you up at 8. I know this really nice restaurant that you'll just absolutely love.
IvyRaven: You're sounding like a girl, again, Skylar.
JustSkylar: Well, it's um cool and stuff.
IvyRaven: LOL talk to you later, lady.
JustSkylar: Hey! okay bye.
The other IM was from a Frosty is Cool! I looked at his profile and saw that it was just Conner Frost.
Frosty: Hey, Raven. I found you. You know you're the ONLY Ivy Raven Garcia on FB?
IvyRaven: Yup. I was well aware of this fact.
Frosty: You never called for a second date.
IvyRaven: It's a two way street. I didn't think you wanted to go out again after that lame kiss.
Frosty: Sorry, that was because I just.... idk why I did that actually. I was totally going give you a kiss to remember and then I just diverted to your cheek.
IvyRaven: Yeah, that was bad.
Frosty: Yeah, sorry about that. Marco kept laughing at me when I told him and then said that was probably why you never called back.
IvyRaven: That and I have been pretty busy, lately. With prom shopping and Sky drama and just plain boy drama.
Frosty: Sky drama? Having issues with the weather? LOL
IvyRaven: You probably won't believe it, but I'm talking about THE Skylar Landon. The idiot won't leave me alone. I just went on a date with him and he wasn't half bad.... when he's trying to impress. Did Marco tell you about our date?
Frosty: Is he the same guy that all the girls are head over heels for?! Yeah, he did. I happy for him. He doesn't date much.
IvyRaven: I used to be the same, but now I'm just getting asked out left and right and to think a few days ago I was complaining about not going out enough. *shakes head*
