Chapter Seven:
The song was over and I jumped down, but I saw Mia was already seated and drinking her smoothie, trying to play innocent. I suppressed the urge to blush in embarrassment.
"What the--? You didn't sing with me?"
She just shook her head, smiling widely. I flushed red as the embarrassment finally crept in. I sat down in my seat, completely aware of the now silent diner. Greg was behind the counter, just staring at me. He walked over to our booth.
"Man, you have a wonderful voice, bug. Why didn't I know this?"
"She just found out herself. She's going to join the choir at school, right, Ivy?" She was saying my name for Greg's benefit. I shrugged. I wasn't so sure about choir, but I would definitely go to Anita's class. Greg patted me on the back and walked away mumbling to himself about something or another.
"Is it Ivy or is it Raven?" I looked up at the tall boy standing where Greg had just stood. He had dirty blond hair and blue eyes. He was staring at me intently. I narrowed my eyes at him.
"What's it to you, blondie?" I had a feeling he was another Argonaut boy.
"The name's Reese." I heard Mia gasp slightly when she finally noticed the boy. I rolled my eyes at him. He wasn't so big and bad. I had, in fact, just punched one of his buddies. I was ready to get out of here.
"Funny, I don't remember asking for your name," I told him. I stood up and he stepped aside. I went to the counter and called to Greg.
"Hey, I'll see you later, Greg." He yelled a quick 'bye' from the back and I grabbed Mia's hand and started to head to the exit.
"Forgetting something, Ivy?" I stopped. My helmet. I told Mia to go to my house and turned around to get my helmet from Reese.
"It's Raven to you." I reached for my helmet but he held it back.
"Now that that's cleared up, Raven, is that your bike? It's parked in my spot." I just laughed in his face at how wrong he was.
"Hey, Greg?" I yelled towards the kitchen.
"Yeah, bug?" He said, coming back to the front.
"Where am I parked?" He looked out the window. "I'm on the bike." It used to be us in Mia's car, which was probably what he was looking for.
"That's your parking space, bug. You know that." He laughed and muttered something about kids these days, as he went back to work. That man likes to mumble to himself.
"See? MY spot. Not yours, Mr. Argonaut boy." He raised an eyebrow at that. "Yeah, I know all about your little gaggle of boys, who claim to rule the school. I'll happily inform you that you don't scare me. Caleb can attest to that. It's my senior year and you and your boyfriends will NOT ruin it for me. I'll make damn sure of that." I smiled sweetly at him and yanked my helmet out of his now lowered hands. I turned and walked out and no one stopped me this time. I was going to put those boys in their place and they wouldn't even know what hit them.

Reese's POV:
"You're just going to let her talk to you like that?" Caleb grunted as he walked over to me. His eye was now turning a deep purple. I still couldn't believe that she was the one that did that to Caleb, the school bad ass.
"Shut up, Caleb. You're the one who pissed her off, not me. Do you think she's that girl that everyone has been talking about?" I questioned my friends. We had heard about a girl who had been tormented by that idiot Mick about three years or so ago. The things they had done to her, even made me cringe. We were told she had been really beautiful until she let herself go and gained a whole mess of weight from the bullying. It was all very vague and no story about this girl was really the same as another.
