my lips met the cool glass filled of whiskey, i stared out the window watching the people go by.
"Who was that chick?" Val asked. i shrugged my shoulder acting like i have no clue who the beautiful women in front of me was. her hair was no longer light brown with blonde, but dark brown still down to her hips. her hazel eyes stared at my brown ones almost as she was reading my mind. her beautiful eyes that i have no seen in so many years.
"Well i searched her up" Val said. she caught my attention as i sat on the chair behind my wooden desk.
"She is an important lawyer back in Cali" she scrolled down the phone. i smiled she made it she got what she always dreamed of.
"oooo, she is dating Nash Grier the famous actor" my eyes widen and i glance up at her. she reads on to her self. what? she is dating Nash? since when?
"Aren't you friends with Nash?" she asked looking away from her phone.
"Ya but we haven't talked since Cameron's graduation party" i say drinking more of the whiskey.
FLASH BACK
i walked around the house trying to find her. 4 years have passed and i want to see her. i've been dying to see her seen Cameron invited me to the party. i bumped into some people who seem to careless.
"Matt?" i heard my name i looked back hoping it was her. but it wasn't i tried to hide the disappointment i was feeling.
"Hey Nash!" i shook his hand.
"Wow long time no see, what happened to you?" he asked. i gulped.
" I am at a college in New York" he nodded his head.
"Have you seen Riley?" i asked desperate to find her.
"Aw you guys still have a thing?" he asked smirking.
" well, not really i've been trying to find her" i say looking around
"Nah man i haven't seen her" he says
'Well text me if you do, i'm going to go out into the garden to see if she's there" i say, he nods waving me goodbye.

"Oh Jacob Whitesides was with her, that famous singer" she says excited.
"I know him" i say, her face lights up and jumps from her seat.
"come on Uncle Matt be a hip uncle and help me meet him! he has a small show in two days!!" she says begging me. i laugh shaking my head
"Sir" the door opens reveling my new assistant Jane,
"Mr. Dallas is here" she says. i nod
"We can talk about you meeting Jacob Whitesides later" i say chuckling Val pouts.
"I'm sorry sir, but i personally know Jacob" Jane says. i am taken back how could she know him?
"My best friend Riley happens to be his Best friend too" she smiles. she's friends why Riley?
"OMG" Val screams.
"Please help me out, my old uncle here doesn't want to" Val says sticking her tongue out at me.
"Watch it Val " i teasingly warn her.
"Come on Jane lets talk" Val drags her out, i chuckle as shaking my head. moments later Cameron walks in.
"Hey man, you wanted to talk?" he says sitting down.
"You didn't mention Riley was in town" i say. he gives me a confused and his eyes widen.
"Did you talk to her?" he asks almost worried.
"No, she was with Jacob paps were every where and she saw me get out of the Limo" i say.
"Well she's only been here a week."
"why is she here? and not in Cali with her boyfriend Nash?" i ask, he shakes his head
"Listen Matt, she has her own life now, she thinks you forgot about her and she moved on, i didn't mention her to you because it shouldn't concern you anymore.
"it does concern me Cameron, you know how i feel about her even after all these years ! you could at least told me she moved on she i could too" i raise my voice.
"Matt you have to promise me you won't try and talk to her." he sighs,
"I can't promise that" i say.
"Matt, she has moved on let her go" he raises his voice.
"I'll bet you anything she hasn't."
