Iris' POV

***

When the Tardis landed I rushed to the door to see where we were. Bow-tie had yelled at me to stop running but I was far too excited to listen. When I got out I saw the redhead from the Doctor's dream and the one from my dream too. The Doctor followed and closed the door behind him.

He face the girl, "Sorry about running off earlier. Brand new Tardis. Bit exciting. Just had a quick hop to the moon and back to run her in. Well, it was supposed to be the moon but then there was a button and now we have another friend." He points at me and I wave shyly.

"You came back?" Amy had seemed surprised, like she had originally lost hope.

"Course I came back. I always come back. Something wrong with that?" I snorted at this but covered it up by coughing. The Doctor glared at me.

Amy, if I remembered correctly, looked Bow-tie up and down, "And you kept the clothes?"

"Well, I just saved the world. The whole planet, for about the millionth time, no charge. Yeah, shoot me. I kept the clothes." I giggled at his attitude, he will forever remind me of a child.

"Including the bow-tie?" At this I got offended.

"Hey, bow-ties are cool." I gestured to my own as the Doctor adjusted his.

"Are you from another planet?" The question was directed at me but the Doctor decided to answer.

"Yes and no. I am, she is from a different version of Earth."

"Okay." Amy looked shocked, another Earth and some Aliens. What could possibly go wrong?

"So, what do you think?" The Doctor rose his 'eyebrow' in inquiry.

"Of what?" Amy seemed a bit slow, still recovering from the fact that there are other Earths and that her imaginary friend isn't so imaginary. At this point I had zoned out. I fiddled with my locket and fixed my glasses.

"Fourteen years!" Leaked to my distracted mind, that was how long he left her for? Will he leave me eventually?

I heard the Tardis door squeak open and decided to follow after the other two. "Well? Anything you want to say? Any passing remarks? I've heard them all."

It was true, the first thing I had said was, 'Is it it's own entity? Does it have a soul? I mean, it is a whole dimension crammed into an old fashioned Police box, but does it?' The Doctor had always seemed shocked by the words that left my mouth. Sadly, Amy's reaction wasn't as cool as mine, it was a simple 'I'm in my nightie.'

"Oh, don't worry. Plenty of clothes in the wardrobe. And possibly a swimming pool. So, all of time and space, everything that ever happened or ever will. Where do you want to start?" The Doctor's gazed flashed between us both.

Amy continued to ask questions and I continued to play with my locket. Once we got on the move I wouldn't have as mush time on my hands so I wouldn't have to worry about getting stuck in my memories.

"I am definitely a madman with a box." The Doctor laughed quite loudly and pulled me out of my trance, "Yeah. Goodbye Leadworth, hello everything."

The Doctor pulled a lever and I grabbed hold of the seat as Amy hollered. Eventually the Tardis stopped moving and Amy opened the door to reveal the void of space. "Whoa." Was all she was able to gasp out.

I looked out over her shoulder, "How are we even breathing?"

"I extended the air shell, we're fine." I wanted to ask more questions but before I could Amy started floating. I tried to reach for her but I was too short, luckily Bow-tie had monkey arms and could grab her ankle. He let her float briefly before pulling her back in.

When Amy was back in I noticed a spacecraft passing by. After Amy asked what it was the Doctor closed the doors and went back to the controls. He turned on the monitors and we saw that we were now in a town. "This is the United Kingdom of Britain and Northern Ireland. All of it, bolted together and floating in the sky. Starship UK. It's Britain, but metal. That's not just a ship, that's an idea. That's a whole country, living and laughing and shopping. Searching the stars for a new home."

"Can we go out and see?" Amy was very excited to see the futuristic craft.

"Course we can. But first, there's a thing." The Doctor mentioning a thing had lead me to think about the whole butterfly effect. Surely our presence alone would throw everything out of whack, but I was from another universe. What if I met the other me's great-grandchildren?

"A thing?" Amy voicing out my inner thoughts.

"An important thing. In fact, Thing One. We are observers only. That's the one rule I've always stuck to in all my travels. I never get involved in the affairs of other peoples or planets." As Bow-tie mentioned this my old memories and dreams popped up and I had to stifle a laugh. That was a complete load of sugar honey iced tea. I looked over at the screen to see a girl crying, Bow-tie noticed it too. This had him bolting out the door after me.

I slowly walked over to the girl as Amy came out of the Tardis. I then realized that I had no idea of the trauma they went through, "Doctor?" His head perked up at the mention of his name so I continued, "Why are the humans on a ship? What happened to the earth?"

He smiled, "Now that's an interesting question. Twenty ninth century. Solar flares roast the earth, and the entire human race packs its bags and moves out till the weather improves. Whole nations. Isn't that amazing?" I nod in agreement, is that why the girl was crying though?

No, that couldn't have been it. Other would've been crying over the loss too. She can't be injured or she would be louder and someone would've helped her. I look around to see if anyone else had noticed the girl when I notice something else odd. The water didn't ripple. Any engine of any size would cause water to ripple slightly, do why didn't it happen with this massive engine? Bow-tie must've noticed too, seeing as he was lying on the ground with a cup of water in front of his face. He then put the cup back on the table, "Sorry. Checking all the water in this area. There's an escaped fish. Where was I?" He turned back to Amy and I.

"Why did you just do that with the water?" I really hoped he noticed the same thing I did. I hoped I wasn't going crazy over water.

"Don't know. I think a lot. It's hard to keep track. Now, police state. Do you see it yet?" I shook my head no, I had no idea what he was talking about anymore. I should quit zoning out.

Amy was just as confused as I was, "Where?"

"There." Bow-tie pointed at the crying girl. How the heck was that a police state?
