Amy was freed. That was what happened as I realized that I was linked with the Angel. I was with Bob again trying to calm myself down, I could still feel the Angel. It was free, it was hiding, it was close. I just don't know where.
Suddenly an explosion pulled me out of my thoughts. I start walking with Bob down the ladder, the Doctor and company following behind me.
"Do we have a gravity globe?" Oh, that sounds cool. Definitely a good distraction from my growing hunger and urge of freedom.
"Grav globe." Octavian ordered for his man to hand the globe to the Doctor.
"Where are we? What is this?" I questioned, I wanted to tell the Doctor of the hunger pangs but felt that I would just be cut off. Like always.
"It's an Aplan Mortarium, sometimes called a Maze of the Dead." River explained, bless her soul. So kind even after I snapped at her.
"What's that?"Amy asked from beside the Doctor.
"Well, if you happen to be a creature of living stone," The Doctor punted the globe into the air, where it illuminated a vast array of mausoleums and statuary, "The perfect hiding place."
"I guess this makes it a bit trickier." Octavian was PO.
"A bit, yeah." The Doctor really needed to know the hunger, I tried to say something but Octavian had to keep talking.
"A stone Angel on the loose among stone statues. A lot harder than I'd prayed for."
"A needle in a haystack." River added, ever so helpfully. Stop being so negative, it isn't you. Don't let them win.
"A needle that looks like hay. A hay-like needle of death. A hay-alike needle of death in a haystack of, er, statues. No, yours was fine." I laughed then others glared at me. This was a fun game. No, stop. this is serious.
"Right." Octavian then turned to his men, "Check every single statue in this chamber. You know what you're looking for. Complete visual inspection. One question. How do we fight it?"
"We find it, and hope." The Doctor waled forward and I ran after him.
"Doctor, I feel it. The Angel."
He stopped and turned towards me, "Explain."
"It's hungry. So hungry. For power, and freedom. It feels as if it is right next to us. It loves teasing you, so very much." Stop, it isn't a game!
The Doctor starts scanning me and other statues but looked confused.
"Yes, we are." River suddenly shouted.
"Sorry, what?" He had heard River but was confused.
"Talking about you." River shouted towards us.
"I wasn't listening. I'm busy." He tried to read the scanner again.
"The other way up." The Doctor flipped it and looked relieved, "Yeah."
I suddenly felt energized, as if I chugged a 5 hour energy bottle and 2 cups of coffee. I started bouncing where I stood to wear off energy. River gave me a questioning look but moved on as Bob fired a shot, "Sorry, sorry. I thought. I thought it looked at me." Octavian and Bob got in an argument as River snuck up and gave me a shot. I slapped her, "Oh my gosh! I am so sorry. It was a reflex! I swear, I would never hurt you."
She just laughed it off, "No harm done, at least you have the viro-stabilizer. Stabilizes your metabolism against radiation, drive burn, anything. You're going to need it when we get up to that ship." I had a feeling that the Angels wouldn't.
