Prom Night. [OC x OC] [Wilferd x Casey]

It was a beautiful night and the night of prom, a gentle winter night that felt absolutely perfect. Wilferd woke from his warm sheets with a start due to the blaring alarm clock next to his bed, he smacked it and got up with a loud yawn and stretch.
He checked his calendar that was hanging above his desk and he realized what today was, he felt it was a very important night, prom night. He suddenly got very excited because he had all of his stuff planned for today; first, at around 5, he would take a shower and brush his teeth. Then after that he would dry off and dress up in his already bought tuxedo, it had a bright pink bow tie that was going to match with a flower he had been growing for the past few months and Casey's dress.
Casey was his girlfriend even though he was a squirrel and she was a cat and their parents didn't approve, they still loved each other.
It was finally time, after countless hours of waiting and getting ready he stepped out of his house, he was wearing his planned tuxedo and bow tie and everything was in order. He locked his door and got in his car; it was time to pick up his girlfriend, Casey. 

Once he arrived at her house around 7 pm, she opened the door in her pajamas.
"I can't go to prom," she cried and fell into his arms. "I'm to sick to go." she wrapped her arms around his body and sobbed into his shoulder. He automatically felt bad and hugged her back.
"Hey, babe, it's ok. C'mon, lets go inside."
She nodded into his shoulder and held onto his arm on the way in, tears flooding down her puffy cheeks.
He closed the door behind them and helped her onto the couch, grabbing a nearby blanket and wrapping it around her shoulders. There was a pause before he sat down, her tears were silent as her head immediently fell into his lap. He reached over to grab the remote to the TV and turned it onto one of her favorite show, Law and Order: Special Victims Unit.
After he set the remote down he reached over and started playing with her hair. She looked so cute with the blanket wrapped around her and her in her pajamas with a messy look. He thought she looked adorable no matter what she was going through and he knew he had to be there for her.
There was a moment of silence from her and then loud sobbing, "I can't go to prom!" she cried and Wilferd started playing with her fur to try and calm her down. She grabbed a nearby pillow and cried as he tried to calm her down.
After a few minutes she sat up and stared blankly at Wilferd, "I-I'm so sorry I forced you do stay with me!"
"No, no, no," he said. "You didn't force me to do anything, Sweetie, I want to stay with you."
She smiled even though tears were flooding down her cheeks, "thank you!" she wrapped her arms around him once again.
He kissed her on the forehead and hugged her back, pulling her close. She pulled her legs onto the couch and cuddled into his eyes; eventually falling asleep as they watched Law and Order.
