I kept my nose low and in my book. The wall being closer than I thought.

"Sorry.." I said to the wall.

"Y/n! What book are you reading!"

I heard my best friend, connor murphy say to me. I showed him the cover. It was my favorite book by harper lee.

"Go set a watchmen."

The tall boy slung his arm around me as we walked. We always did things like this, but we never dated.

"Y/n, wanna come over after school? I finally got a place of my own, away from my bullshit of a family."

I closed my book and looked up at connor.

"Of course."

We smiled at each other before he kissed me on the cheek.

I blushed??

Wait.. y/n he's your best friend you can't do this! It's gonna ruin everything! But oh man.. I can't believe I didn't notice him like this before! He's so cute!!

We made our way to connors new apartment and sang to whatever the fuck was on the radio. We raced each other up the stairs but then he picked me up and ran with me in his arms.

"You lost, y/n"

He said with a triumphant grin on his face. We both walked into his apartment, panting. Connor dropped to his couch and groaned.

"Ugghhhh im so tired now."

"Same"

I said softly as I sat next to his head and stroked his hair. He giggled as I smiled down on to him.

"Y/n, have I ever told you how much I love you?"

I giggled and moved the hair away from his face and smiled.

"Many times, con."

His face suddenly got really red.

"Maybe in a more than friends way.."

I gasped softly and took my hands away.

"I'm sorry if that's too soon or we-"

I leaned down and kissed him on his lips, my face very red.

"Me too, con."

"Y-you don't hate me?"

I giggled softly at his resonse.

"Con, I could never hate you."

" does this mean you're my girlfriend? "

"I guess so, boyfriend."

he sat up and laughed before kissing me softly on the lips.
