*Ring ring*
My phone was ringing. Just as I reached it, the call was cut off. I saw 5 missed calls from Nick and 3 from Gabby. "Damn" I murmured. I called back Nick first.
"Hey you were calling me earlier? Is everything okay?" I asked my voice hoarse from crying.
"You finally picked up. Where are you?" He asked. I could sense nervousness in his voice.
"I'm at Mark's home? Why?" I questioned.
"I can't find Ashton. He had texted me say he was going to the bar but he didn't say which one." He said his voice starting to shake.
"What? Which ones would he normally go? Mark and I'll help you look for him." I said. He gave me a list of bar names then hanged up.
"Mark grab your car keys. We got to go now." I urgently said. He just listened to me.
"I'll drive. You've been though a lot today." he said rushing out, me right behind me.
"What's up?" he asked.
"Ashton, well how to put this? He's most likey at a bar, 100% drunk. But we don't know which one because he doesn't normally drink outside of home. So Nick gave me a list of bars he would normally go if he ever went out to drink." I replied.
"Well then, let's start" he said. We made our way to the first bar but in vain. Next one.
Same results.
In the end he wasn't at any of the bars on the list. I called Nick hoping he would have better luck than me.
"Hey, we've got nothing. We've looked at all the bars on the list. You found him yet?" I asked.
"Nope. He's not at any of ours either. I was about to call you to ask you the same thing." He replied.
Suddenly I thought about bar. I had mentioned it on the phone when I was in his room.
"Let's go to Crystal bar on Light street. He might be there" I hanged up the phone call.
"Okay Crystal bar here we come" Mark murmured before stepping on the gas pedal and speeding away.
By the time we had reached the place it was like 11p.m.
I was hoping that he would actually be there. I rushed inside and scanned the room. I went over to someone who looked like Ashton. His head was on the desk.
"Ashton" I said softly. "Mmmm" he grunted. "It's time to go home. It's late" I said.
He didn't move.
This is when I needed my backup but they were no where to be found. And I didn't want to leave him alone.
I called Mark and Nick on the phone reassuring them by saying that I found him but that I'll need some help. Before I knew it they were both here.
"Look I'm sorry about this. Let's carry him to my house" Nick said.
"No its ok. Let's just carry him to ours. It'll be better if I kept and eye on him" I replied. "Oh okay if you say so"
Mark on Ashton's right side and Nick on his left side. It really was quite a sight to see.
We placed him in Mark's car in the passenger side seat. We exchanged our goodbyes and apologies before leaving. Mark drove us home.
He helped me to carry Ashton to his room.
"Thanks Mark. I owe you"
"It's okay. Anytime. Glad to be of some help. Sure you're going to be fine?"
