The Tale of two Dimensions

Chapter 5: Confession

At the end of school the next day, William was getting ready to ask Star to go out with him. He knew that he couldn't just say it out of the blue, so he had a special trip planned to one of his favorite places to go to.

When he saw Star walking to her locker, he started to get nervous, but he remembered what his father said.

(William)"You know what to do, William. Put your fears aside."

After putting some books in, she spotted him, and and was now going straight towards him.

(William)"Here we go, it's now or never!"

(Star)"Hey, how's it going?"

(William)"Oh, g-good! Hey? You're not doing anything after school, right?"

(Star)"Nothing! Why'd you ask? You got something planned?"

(William)"Actually, I do. There's this dimension that I want to show you, I think you'll like it."

(Star)"Really?!"

She practically radiated with excitement.

(William)"Uh, yeah, my brother's outside, he'll take us there."

They walked outside, where Zacharie was waiting, looking amused.

(Zacharie)"You asked her yet?"

(Star)"Ask me what?"

(William)"Nothing!"

He got up in Zacharie's face, which was difficult because of how much taller he was, and whispered to him.

(William)"Zach, don't mess this up for me!"

(Zacharie)"Don't worry, I won't do anything to ruin it."

Zacharie then cut a blue portal in the air, and they went through.

On the other side, it was a dark forest, with bright jewels sticking out of the ground.

(William)"Do you like it?"

(Star)"It...it's beautiful!"

(William)"Yeah, it's very beautiful. Me and Zacharie used to come out here when I was little."

(Zacharie)"Well, I gonna wait here. You kids have fun."

Both William and Star walked along the forest trail. While they were walking, they saw a flying, bioluminescent jellyfish. It flew around Star's head, and made a cooing sound.

(Star)"Aw, it's so cute!"

She started to pet it like a dog.

(William)"They're the only living things here. Some Oozai take one as a pet."

(Star)"Can I keep it?!"

(William)"It looks like it likes you, so why not?"

(William)"I wonder if that was a good idea. Those puppies she made nearly burnt the house down."

There are now multiple, laser-proof doghouses in the backyard.

After that, William took Star to the middle of the forest. In the open space, there was a tall, glowing, blue tree that had more jellyfish floating around it.

(William)"Ok, here we go."

(William)"Star, watch this."

He placed his hand on the tree, and it turned pink.

(Star)"Whoa! How did you do that?!"

(William)"This tree changes color when someone touches it while feeling a certain emotion."

(Star)"What's pink then?"

(William)"...Love."

(Star)"W-Wait, love? Like...romantic love?"

(William)"Yes."

(Star)"For...me?"

(William)"Star, I know it hasn't even been a month since we've met eachother, but, when I first laid eyes on you, I felt, different. The feeling I had didn't happen when I talked to other girls, and I couldn't think of anything else, but you."

(William)"Too far gone, there's no going back now."

(William)"Ok, that sounds like I took that from a low budget romance movie, but that's besides the point. Time for the million dollar question."

(William)"Star? Will you, be my, g-girlfriend...?"

Realizing his stutter, he turned around, and waited for the response.

(William)"Oh God! I mess up! I REALLY messed up!"

Instead of hearing a yes or no, he could hear the sound of giggling.

(Star)"Took you long enough!"

He turned back around, looking confused.

(William)"Wh-What? You, knew all along?"

(Star)"Of course I did, dummy! You made it too obvious, especially with what you said last night!"

She gave him a playful shove.

(William)"Oh, right."

(William)"I did say I didn't like to see her hurt."

(William)"So...does this mean...?"

(Star)"Of course!"

(William)"I knew i- Wait, what?!"

(Star)"I'll be your girlfriend!"

(William)"YOU'RE SERIOUS???"

(Star)"Yeah!"

(William)"Oh thank God, I almost had a heart attack!"

He hugged her tightly, lifting her off the ground

(Star)"Y-You're, chocking me!"

(William)"Oh! Sorry, guess I'm as reckless as my dad!"

(Omega)"Well, they're a thing now, I guess."
