Zacharie staggered, clutching the large hole in his abdomen. The creatures then fired what seemed to be Oozai Cannons, which were just melting orbs with a face.
He tried to dodge, but the pain was so intense, that it kept him from moving his legs, causing him to take all five beams. He was blown back, and there were burn marks on his body.
(Zacharie)"Wh-What the hell are these things?! They can't be Oozai! With just one hit, I'm already half dead!"
(???)"Determined..."
(Zacharie)"What?"
The creature with many eyes began to speak.

(Determined)"We are...Determined. We were once normal Oozai, in Duin's army during the Battle of Heartbreak."
(Zacharie)"But, why do you look like that?"
(Determined)"Duin had an army mostly comprised of Monsters he found here, we were his Generals. Zoozai wiped out our army with a single attack, and banished us. During this time, Duin tried to find a different way to reunite with his late lover, by using the power of Determination."
(Determined)"Being as loyal as a dog is to its master, we volunteered to test the effects of injecting yourself with the substance directly. At first, nothing happened, none of us had the ability to go back in time. Then after a few hours, our bodies began to melt."
Zacharie shuddered at the thought.
(Determined)"Our colors faded, and our original forms remolded into what you see now. Seeing what they became, my comrades went mad, but I was able to cope with my new form. It does have its perks, one being that we are virtually indestructible, and our strength has been increased tenfold."
(Zacharie)"You know, I'm sorry that you became this, I really am, but I can't just let you kill me!"
(Determined)"I'm afraid you have no choice in the matter. You're bleeding out, and you're outnumbered 5 to 1."
(Zacharie)"Just watch me."
He summoned his Oozai Cannon, a fired it at one of the Determined.

The giant hole in its face swallowed the beam, and threw it back. The pink Oozai set up a net of magic spikes, sending back once again. The Determined was vaporized from the chest up, revealing its soul. It was pulsing red, with a gray outline. After a few seconds, the Determined regenerated, then fired white darts from its "mouth". Zacharie used his magic to teleport away from the attack.
(Zacharie)"For a few seconds, their soul is exposed. If I can destroy that, it should keep them down for good!"
Zacharie summoned his claws, and jabbed into the Determined's chest. He felt the soul and he began to crush it. As the Determined screamed in pain, Zacharie ripped out its soul, and shattered it. The creature fell to the ground, and turned into dust.
(Determined)"What? You...killed him?"
(Zacharie)"I've found your weakness. Now I just gotta kill you all before I bleed out!"
