Eric comforting you after a nightmare

The scream that came out of your mouth could probably be heard throughout the whole compound. You sat up straight in bed, panting heavily, sweat dripping down your forehead. Your heart was racing like crazy and for a moment you were confused where the hell you even were.
When you felt a hand on your back you slowly came back to your senses. It had been a nightmare, you realized. You had them since the day you did your fear simulation. How you ever passed that was a mystery to you but somehow you had.
„Babe are you okay?" Eric spoke beside you. You had totally forgotten he was there and turned to face him.
„Sorry just a nightmare, go back to sleep I didn't wanna wake you."
„It's alright I'm awake now anyway. Come here." He puts out his hands and you lie down again, snuggling into his chest while he wraps his arms tight around you.
„Thanks." You mumble, your face pressed against Eric.
„Do you want to talk about it?"
„No just stay like this for a bit okay?"
„Of course."
Eric starts to stroke your back lightly and you grab his shirt in an attempt to pull him even closer to you. His presence always made you feel calm again. Maybe it was because he didn't force you to talk. He obviously had seen your fear landscape but he never said anything. He'd listen if you wanted to tell him something but he never expected you to which made you feel comfortable and safe around him.
