He can always sense your emotions, obviously
Because of this there's a strong connection between you two
As soon as you start to get upset, angry, nervous, scared, etc., he knows it
And he'll immediately jump into action to identify what's bothering you
He'll ask you what's wrong
If you don't answer, he'll look around to identify what decreased your mood
Def will try and fix the situation/get you out of it to make you feel better
Will use his mood altering powers if he thinks it'll help, but doesn't necessarily use it all the time
He hates when you're in a bad mood, but he knows that using his powers to make you feel happy all the time isn't going to be the best for you in the long run
So if you need to cry, he'll let you cry
If you need to lie in bed and sulk for a while, you can do that
But he's gonna be there regardless while you let it out
He always wants you to be happy
And while he does use his powers to lift your mood when needed
He makes you happy all the time just being him
Because he's sweet
And loving
and a gentleman
his powers also make it impossible to lie to him about how you're feeling
like if he asks you if there's something wrong, and you say you're okay, but you so do not feel okay
he'll fuckin know
he'll want to know what's wrong
but that doesn't mean he'll push it too much if you really don't want to talk about it yet
he makes it clear that he wants you to feel better, so you usually end up telling him what's wrong sooner or later if he hadn't already figured it out
and he's surprisingly good at figuring out what's wrong
he judges based on your reactions to things and what you're feeling
and he just gets better with more time
so if he knows that something tends to upset you and your mood changes negatively suddenly
he's gonna know what caused it like right away
this also means he knows what makes you happy
and if you particularly like it when he compliments you/calls you pet names, you can bet your ass he's gonna increase the frequency in which he does those things
big takeaway is that he wants you to be happy as much as possible and will do what he can to ensure that
