23. Falling For Him

Imagine falling in love with Raphael.

Magnus didn't normally bring home strangers, yet alone ones that only made snarky comments at him after he saved them. After you got to know Raphael for a bit you did understand his decision though. You had seen many newly turned vampires and not all of them did cope quite so well. Magnus had found him aimlessly wandering around the city, looking for blood. He had stopped him from attacking a human and brought him here.

It should have been Magnus job to explain everything to him but he gladly passed that duty on to you. You didn't mind though, you had grown to like him quite a bit. Raphael did like you too but neither of you said anything.

You left Brooklyn when the Clave needed a witch in Idris and only came back years later as a favour for Magnus. He needed your help with the new head of the vampire clan. Or rather the shadowhunters did. Why he thought you'd be able to help was a mystery to you but you couldn't say no to your best friend.

"Raphael?" You almost yelled when you saw him. You ran over and hugged him so tight you would have left him unable to breathe.

"Y/N? What are you doing here?"

"I've been called to deal with an obnoxious vampire. They must be talking about you." You smirk at him and he smiles back at you. Both of you were happy to see the other again.

"I really missed you." Raphael whispers quietly so no one else can hear.

"I missed you, too."

"Are you going to disappear for a few hundred years again after this?" He says with a grin.

"It wasn't that long, don't exaggerate."

"I just have to give you a reason to stay this time." You turn towards him and blush at the look he's giving you.

"I guess so."
