Imagine being a higher rank than your mate (Jasper Whitlock) and causing the Major to come out and see for himself.

"You do realized that I'm more Superior than you are Major." I told my mate as his eyes darken and his poster change. "What rank are you doll?" The Major asked curiously as the rest of the Cullen family watch on with worry and surprised.
"I was a rank Corneal sadly. I would have prefer Gunnery Sergeant since it was the rank my brother was in before he died." I told him as I saw his back straighten up. Something I know Jasper wouldn't do as much around anybody. "So you were a soldier?" The Major ask with a small smile.
"Was? I'm still am technically. I just haven't been called in." I told him with a small shrug of my shoulder. "It seems Jasper has made a good choice at picking his mate." The Major said causing me to smirk at him challengingly. "It's more like I pick the better boyfriend." I said causing me to narrow his eyes at me as both Emmett and Edward tried not to burst out laughing.
