6. Baby

Baby

Summary: Your sister has a baby and you and Tom go and visit her once she has settled in her home and the baby couldn't help but pull on Tom's heartstrings

When you got a phone call from your mom saying that your sister was going into labour you felt ecstatic, so excited to be an aunt. When you told Tom soon after he was jumping with joy with you. Tom and your sister were pretty close friends, so he was over the moon when he heard about her pregnancy. You and Tom decided that it would be better to see her when she got discharged.

A few days have past and your sister has finally arrived at her home. You and Tom were getting in the car, neither of you being able to sit still in the car seat, too excited to see your niece. Tom drove to your sister's house and once you arrived you know on the door. Your sister's husband, Josh, opened the door and invited you two in and guided you to the nursery. You walk into the pastel room that is new to you, your mouth falls open at the beauty of the nursery. Tom stops behind you and snakes his arm around your waist, pulling you towards him. Your heart flutters at his action, your mind wondering to you and Tom having kids, the thought bringing a smile to your face.

You look around to see your sister holding a blanket bundle close to her chest in the corner of the room. You slowly walk towards her, leaning down and placing a soft kiss to your sister's forehead. She looks up and smiles at you and Tom.

"Hey, guys." She whispers, trying not to disturb the baby. You peek over to see the little human bundled up in blankets. You catch sight of her small round face, her chubby cheeks and her small lips that she got from her mother. Your heart fills with love at the little baby in your sisters' arms.

"Can I hold her?" You ask quietly. Your sister nods and places your niece in your arms. Your smile is so big it's starting to hurt your cheeks, but you don't mind. Tom looks over your shoulder at the small baby in your arms, thinking that one day it could be your baby. At this, he leans his head down and plants a soft kiss on your temple. His hand around your waist squeezing it in his hand. You look to your boyfriend with the utmost love and adoration. His gaze fully on the small child in your arms.

"I think someone has baby fever." You say in a teasing tone to Tom. Your smile not wavering in the slightest. Tom chuckles at your statement.

"You have no idea." He replies, looking to you, leaning down to place a quick kiss to your lips, it is interrupted by the sudden cries from your niece. You look down to see tears streaming down her plump cheeks. You try to hush her and eventually she falls back asleep in your arms.

"See you're a natural." Your sister points out, making your cheeks blush at the comment. You look to see Tom already looking at you with so much love you thinking you're going to combust.

"Indeed she is." Tom agrees, still holding your gaze. Promising you everlasting love and happiness.
