I saw you on a Sunday in a café

And all you did was look my way

And my heart started to race

And my hands started to shake, yeah

There she is, I knew I would run into her sometime soon. I did not think it would be today. Y/N is the most beautiful person I have ever laid my eyes on. She is such a sweet and caring person. We met through a mutual friend and I have been head over heels for her ever since.

She is standing across the room with a group of her friends. She has been working on trying to get a bear out of the claw machine. She tries once again and fails, letting out a whine. She then looks around and we make quick eye contact. She knows I am here. I quickly look away from her and look for Harrison.

I make my way over to him, "She's here, what do I do? Do I talk to her? Do I run away and hide?" I ask him in a panic. He looks at me and laughs, "Mate, calm down. Just go talk to her."

"I can't just go talk to her, what would I say?" I say very quickly, running out of breath. My mind is moving at a thousand miles per minute.

"Just say hey," he shrugs and goes back to his game. I stand still for a few minutes trying to gather my thoughts. I should just go and talk to her, what is the worst that can happen?

I heard you asked about me through a friend

My adrenaline kicked in

And now we're out here in this room

I slowly start making my way towards her. Her friends have gone on their separate ways while she is still stuck at the same claw machine.

"H-hey, Y/N. It's me, uh Tom," I nervously say. I am completely making a fool out of myself in front of her. She turns around to looks at me and smiles showing her beautiful teeth.

"Hi Tom! I haven't seen you in so long! I saw you earlier, but you seemed out of it so I just stayed away. How are you? I'm so happy to run into you!" She smiles and brings me into a big hug. My whole body goes tense not expecting the affection so she immediately lets go, "Sorry, that was just too much."

"No, no. Y/N, sorry. I just was not expecting that. You can hug me whenever or wherever you want. I am always open to hugging you or showing you any affection- I should stop talking, but you make me extremely nervous- because you're cute, not because you are weird or anything. Why am I saying all of this? Please stop me from talking," I say completely embarrassing myself. She lets out a little giggle and it lights up the whole room.

I get a little bit nervous around you

"Don't worry about it. Are you here with anyone? My friends just left, if you want to head to my apartment. I didn't get to show it to you last time we hung out," she asks me and my world stops. She is asking me to come to her apartment? I would be stupid to decline, I can just text Harrison on our way there.

"Yeah! I would love to, can you drive?" I agree to go to her apartment with her and she smiles even wider than before.

"I actually live right down the road, we can walk. It should only take about ten minutes if you don't mind, or we can take a cab," she suggests and puts her think jacket on while I quickly text Harrison that I am leaving with her.

"I don't mind," I say as we head out the front of the arcade, "Shit, it's raining. I can call a cab."

"It's quite romantic isn't it? It's like were in a movie or a song is being wrote about us," Y/N blushes, we seem to have the same vibe going on. We both like each other a little more than friends.

We walked in the rain

A couple blocks to your apartment

We both put our hoods up and walk towards her apartment. While on our short walk to her apartment, I learn that she has a cat. I don't like cats, but I won't tell her that. I learn that she also is obsessed with arcades even though she is terrible at all the games, I can relate to that. I also learn that she is so much better than I ever thought. She gets better the more she talks, she is perfect.

Once we reach her apartment we step inside and she closes the door behind us. She takes off her boots and jacket while I keep looking at her. I look at her beautiful lips and I am suddenly getting an urge to kiss her. She turns to look at me and I look into her sparkling eyes, before I can even think I lean in to kiss her.

She immediately kisses me back, we both wanted this. I pull her closer as she puts her soft hands on my jaw. She really has me wrapped around her little finger and we have only kissed this one and only time.

My heart is beating a million beats per minute as my shaky hands moves down to her lower back. We both separate and look at each other, all we can do is smile.
