10. Christmas

Christmas

Summary: When yours and Tom's family celebrate Christmas together Tom has a very special question to ask.

Warnings: Death by fluff, your face is gonna look like a Picasso painting after this.

Tom pulls up to his parent's house where your family have already arrived at for a Christmas Eve dinner. You were excited to spend time with your family and with your boyfriend of 2 years. You two get out the car, taking the bottle of wine that you brought. Tom takes hold of your hand and walks up the path towards the front door. Tom presses the doorbell and a loud 'ding dong' echoes off the walls, alerting people of your presence. Shortly after the door opens and you're greeted by Nikki. A smile on her face like always.

"Hey (Y/N), Tom! So happy you guys could make it!" She exclaims excitedly, opening her arms to invite you into a hug.

"Wouldn't miss it for the world you say when you pull away, a large smile plastered on your face at Tom's kind mother.

You feel Tom's gaze at you, but it was broken by his mom pulling him into a bone crushing hug. You smile wider at the love and joyful relationship they have together. Dom peeks his head around the doorframe to see who's at the door, once his eyes catch you he instantly smiles, you smiling back.

"Hello Dom, so nice to see you again." You say, before leaning towards him and giving him a hug hello.

"Good to see my favourite couple again." He replies. He sees the bottle of wine and says, "you didn't have to bring anything darling."

"We couldn't show up empty-handed." You explain, a smile still on your face. Dom's smile widens.

You love Tom's family, they have taken you in as their own and treated you with love and respect since day one.

"Come you two, let's eat," Nikki says, leading you both into the house. Tom looks at you with a sparkle in his eyes before he leans over to you to plant a soft kiss against your temple. You lean into his touch.

You two walk in to be greeted by your family sitting in the living room, waiting for you two to arrive. The stand up excitedly to give you two a hug. You engulf yourself in your mother's arms, Tom shaking your dad's hand, smiles on both your faces. You break away from your mom to give your dad a hug, he pecks your forehead.

You break away by Nikki's voice.

"Come on everyone, let's eat." Everyone jumps up and head towards the dining area, already set.

You take a seat next to Tom near the end of the table. Once seated Tom rests his hand on your thigh, giving it a small squeeze. You glance up to see that he's already staring at you, a small smile on his face. He leans down to capture your lips with his. Your eyes flutter closed, drinking him in.

"Hey, get a room you two." You hear Dom's voice shout playfully.

You pull away with blushed cheeks. You loved that Tom's family didn't mind you two showing PDA. Tom takes your plate and dishes up for you, knowing exactly what you want.

"Thank you, babe." You say before digging into your food.

Laughs are thrown around the table, embarrassing stories are told about you as a kid and love is spread around the table. You sit back and admire the two families talking and laughing together. Your mom and Nikki giggling between the two of them like school girls, your dad having a light conversation, Harry and Sam wanting to start a food fight but your dad giving them a stern but playful look. Everyone looked so happy and relaxed, relieving all the year's stresses. The atmosphere is enough to make you emotional, tears start to brim your eyes at the wholesome moment but you hold them back, not wanting to ruin the moment between the two families. Tom glances over at you and sees the tears in your eyes, concern fixed on his face.
