Chapter 6

Hayes's POV

I read the text over and over again

Bish🙅- hey Hayes, maybe we should talk? Maybe go out again 😘

The head cheer leader Gabriella. Why would I want to text her back, she ruined my relationship with Stacy and now she wants to go out again? How about a no. I cheated on Stacy with Gabriella but that's only because I was at a party for the football team and Gabriella pushed me into a closet and made out with me. I didn't stop her because I forgot about Stacy until she found us in there and slapped me in the face.

That was a really bad memory and I shook it out of my head.

Kaitlyn started turning over away from me, probably due to the bright light of my phone. I turned my lighting down and texted Gabriella back

Hayes- no Gabriella, I won't go out with you again so you should just stop texting me or even talking to me. I found someone better

I felt good about that text and decided to check my social medias until I got another text message. This time this text made me so mad I threw my phone. It made a loud thud on Kaitlyn's wall so I quickly got up without waking Kaitlyn or sky up. I grabbed my phone and slipped back next to Kaitlyn without making a sound

I reread the message and couldn't believe what she said

Bish🙅- who's better than me? Oh that bish Stacy, I thought she moved on already? You better move on hayes because your not getting any younger and she's not gonna want you. I think she has about 4 boys a night, what a hoe!

Even tho I may have an awkward stage with Stacy right now she is still my best friend and no one says that to my friends

Hayes- just shut up you slut

I felt good after that and looked over at Kaitlyn. If anyone ever did something horrible to her, they would get something worse than this.

I set my phone on Kaitlyn's night stand and snuggled with Kaitlyn and sky until sleep took over me.

Kaitlyn's POV

I started to see a bright light from the corner of my eye assuming Hayes was on his phone. Does this kid ever sleep! I turned away from the light when to my suprise I heard a loud thud on my wall. I then felt hayes get up then come back into the bed. Did hayes just throw is phone? What made him so mad to throw his phone? I'll ask him about it in the morning

"Yes I will marry you Ansel..."*THUD "OW! Frick.." I felt around until I realized I fell off my bed while dreaming. I look onto my bed thinking Hayes would be up there but to surprisingly he wasn't! All that was up there was Sky snoring away until I noticed a note under her paw.

*hey kaitlyn sorry I had to leave early I need to go talk to someone then I'll text you later :) xoxo*

He never mentioned talking to someone yesterday, oh well it's probably just one of his guy friends.

I walked downstairs to hear nothing. Is everyone seriously still asleep? I was walking around my house until I was startled by snoring from the couch in the living room, when I looked over the couch I saw a sprawled out Sarah with a cheez it's box on her stomach and saliva coming out of her mouth. That's just Nasty and I was tired of looking at it so I grabbed a couch pillow and smacked Sarah in the face. She quickly woke up and her face showed embarrassment "uhh hey kaitlyn..." I started laughing "tired so much you can't walk up to your room to sleep?" "I will have you know Nash and I were out till 3 am, so I grabbed cheez it's and found my bed here."

Sarah got up to put the cheez it's away so I followed her. "You better hope Hayes didn't see you this morning" I said laughing even more. "I actually saw hayes leave this morning and he didn't look to happy." "What why?" "How would I know! I fell back to sleep after he left, but I wanna know why hayes was over all last night" Sarah was now smirking and wouldn't stop until I answer. "Ok wellll..." "Wellll?" "Hayes and I had a incident playing football yesterday which led us to kissing and so he spent the night last night and we watched netflix and cuddled...." I felt embarrassed and looked away until I was frightened by a Sarah's high pitched screaming. "OMG FINALLY! FINALLY HAYES AND KAITLYN ARE A THING!" "SARAH! Calm down! We're not a thing we just kissed, he hasn't even asked me on a date or asked me to be his girlfriend so stop freaking out."

I started walking upstairs when I felt someone grab my arm, "when he does ask you out will you tell me? I just want to be here for you" "yes Sarah I will tell you" I then hugged Sarah, and walked upstairs.

I thought I would text hayes just to see if he's still talking to whoever he is.

I sat on the sofa in my room and began typing

Kaitlyn👫💗- hey are you busy?

I started drifting asleep again waiting 15 minutes for a response until my phone went off

Hayes❤️- yea still talking to that person, I'll text you later tonight 😘

Kaitlyn👫💗- ok😘

Ugh now I have nothing to do today, I guess I'll see if Stacy wants to go shopping to clear things up between her and I.

Kaitlyn👑 - shopping?

Stacy💁 - yes 😍

Kaitlyn👑- ok see you in an hour :)

I went to take a quick shower and threw on an outfit, I decided on vans, waisted shorts and a crop top. I left my hair down and curled the ends, to finish it off I applied mascara. I clipped my K&H necklace on and headed out.

Since the mall was 3 blocks away I just decided to walk to meet Stacy. When arriving at the mall I saw Stacy sitting on a bench waiting, she noticed me and waved. I waved backed and reached the bench. "Hey Kaitlyn!" "Hey Stacy" "you want to go to Starbucks first?" "You know me too well Kaitlyn" we laughed all the way to the Starbucks and waited in line. "We'll have two grende Carmel fraps" (lol 😂 what the heck are fraps)

After receiving our drinks I sat down with Stacy to talk for a while. "Now kaitlyn I hope me dating hayes doesn't make things weird between us, it was just a stupid 7th grade thing." "Don't worry Stacy it's ok, I can understand that if two people like each other they can make things work." Stacy smiled at me and drank her Starbucks.

I noticed Stacy saw my necklace and didn't seem to happy about it, "But Kaitlyn you should know hayes could be a cheater and if things happen between you two I just don't want you heart broken." "Oh really? Why who did he cheat on you with?" Stacy had a disgusted look on her face but talked "Gabriella, the head cheerleader of the school. Her and her group were at the football teams party and I was there also to hang with hayes. I noticed she was getting close to hayes and wouldn't stop talkin to him, but I ignored it and partied. Next thing I knew I saw Gabriella's group whispering and looking at me so I went up to them. I asked a girl named Kinley who is best friends with Gabriella why they were looking at me. She told to look around for hayes, and once she said that I realized hayes was missing and so was Gabriella. I looked around the whole house until I heard noises from a closet." Stacy started tearing up but she continued. "When I opened the closet hayes and Gabriella were making out and hayes's shirt was off which made things even worse, so I did the only thing I could and I slapped him. He tried to run after me but I ran home."

By then Stacy was in tears and I was hugging her. "Im so sorry Stacy." I could tell how hurt she was. "It's ok he's a douche to me, maybe not you, but when you left hayes hung out with me very little. By 6th grade he was the MVP and everyone wanted to hang with him. I finally got to talk to him and that's kind of where our relationship started." Stacy was finally calmed down and I took her to the bathroom to get cleaned up.

"Thanks kaitlyn your the best person ever." I just smiled and cleared the running mascara on Stacy.

I walked home from the mall thinking about what Stacy was saying about hayes. I looked at my K&H necklace, Was he really a douche or was Stacy just saying that?
