Chapter 39

Kaitlyn's POV

I had hayes in my arms again and I couldn't be any happier

"Kaitlyn what are you doing here?!" Hayes asked still holding onto me

"For your birthday silly!" I released my grip and looked into his bright blue eyes

The last time I saw his eyes they had sadness in them, but now they light up with happiness

"I can't believe you came all the way out here for my birthday" Hayes said hugging me one more time

"Anything for you" I said into his chest

We released from the hug and I showed him the table set up for us

We were under a cabana with a table full of food and one big candle in the center

"Did you do all this your self?" Hayes asked pulling my chair out for me then finding his seat

"Well I did have some help from the boys and Mahogany" I said smiling

"When was this all planned?!" Hayes leaned up in his chair to listen

"Right after you left I decided I was gonna celebrate your birthday with you, even if it meant flying where ever you were"

"So I asked the boys to create a scavenger hunt for you and then at the end I would be here as the big surprise! I stayed at a different hotel last night and waited all day to see you" I grabbed Hayes's hand and smiled deeply at him

Hayes showed his bright white teeth and stood up

"Would you like to go check out this beautiful beach my lady" Hayes asked bending over extending his arm out for me

"Why of course" I said giggling and taking his hand once again

We started down towards the ocean and began to walk the ocean side

"I can't tell you how much I missed you" Hayes said looking down at his feet

"I missed you too, the days were slow and I didn't know what to do most of them" I started walking backward and grabbed both of Hayes's hands

"But now it's ok, we're here together and everything's ok" I said pulling Hayes along

Hayes pulled me close and picked me up swinging me around

"Can we stay like this forever?" Hayes asked still swinging me around

I started laughing from all the swinging and finally Hayes put me down

"I hope so" I said hugging him and continued to walk

The sunset started to get lower and lower, "it's getting late" Hayes said checking the time on his phone

"Right" I said looking away

"But your staying for the rest of the tour right?" Hayes asked

I sighed and squeezed Hayes's hand

"I would hayes but I can't, my mom only paid for one two nights here then I leave tomorrow"

I saw the sadness come back to his eyes and I couldn't look at them anymore

"I'll pay for it." He finally said

"What?" I was shocked

"I'll pay for your stay with us for the rest of the tour. This job pays well Kaitlyn, I have you covered" Hayes smiled and pulled me in close
"You can actually stay with me for the rest of the trip"

"Hayes I couldn't possibly have you pay for every place we go. That's a lot of money!" I said getting out of his grip

"But I want to, I want you here" Hayes's voice cracked and I sighed looking down but then looked up with a smile

"You Hayes Grier are way to nice" I smirked

Hayes's expression changed to pure happiness and I knew this would be a lot better than being home alone

"Hey I know a candy shop just up the beach over there. Let's go" Hayes said grabbing my hand and ran

We ran so fast that once we reached the shop, we were out of breath

"Looks like you kids really like candy!" A short man walked around the counter and handed both of us a sucker

We thanked him and walked over to the walls of candy

"See anything Kaitlyn?" Hayes asked looking up and down the wall

I had already grabbed a plastic bag and started filling up my bag

"Yea I think so!" I chuckled and looked more

Hayes and I had each a bag full of different candies

I got Hayes to let me pay because it was his birthday and he shouldn't have to

We walked out of the candy shop hand in hand with full bags of candy that any little kid would go crazy for

"It's getting late, wanna head back to the hotel?" Hayes asked checking his watch

"I'm in a different hotel so we'll have to go separate ways" I reminded him

"Oh right. You can't just stay with us tonight then go back tomorrow?" Hayes asked shrugging his shoulders

"Sarah's here with me and I don't really want her that lonely at the hotel so I'll just see you tomorrow"

We reached the two cars and I hugged Hayes tight

"See you tomorrow beautiful, thank you so much for the amazing birthday" Hayes said still hugging me

"See ya later Grier" I blew Hayes a kiss and slipped inside the car

I buckled in the car when a text message appeared on my phone

Hayes❤️😍: Grier? That's it? I like it👌

I smiled to myself and locked my phone.

Feels good to be back with Hayes

Sooooo just a little filler. Next chapters gonna be, just saying. I already know what I want to write

So yea I've been very busy so I haven't been able to write for a week or more so I hope this satisfies you 😂 that sounded weird ok anyway I'll be writing the next chapter in a few minutes so at least you know I'm working on it!
