Chapter 28

Kaitlyn's POV
1 month later

I couldn't believe I haven't seen or talked to hayes since that day one month ago

It hurts not seeing him, I don't even know if we're dating anymore or what's going on

I have nash tell me what he's doing and maybe if he thinks we're still a couple

But every time nash tells me something it's always the same, 'Hayes is lying in his bed not talking to anyone.'

That gets so old to hear but it tells me that hayes is breaking just as much as I am

Ever since the day of the incident I've been having dreams of hayes and I together but we were older in the dreams

We were happy holding hands, I even had a dream of us at homecoming. But that one ended up being a nightmare with the school burning down and hayes and I getting stuck inside

The night I had the nightmare I was about to call hayes to come over to help me relax but realized he wouldn't answer

The rest of that night I curled up in a ball on my bed and starred at the different places hayes and I would do stuff in my room

Like making the YouTube video, having a dance party, where he always climbed through my window

That night with the dreaded nightmare was two weeks ago and ever since then I miss hayes even more then when he caught matt and I

I still wear my K&H knowing he's still my best friend, just not sure if he's my boyfriend

I pulled myself up from my thinking position on my sofa and slowing walked down the stairs to the living room

I got my cast off a month ago but I'm not stable on my feet yet so it still hurts to walk without my crutches

The doctors told me when ever I need the crutches to just use them

When I reached the living room Sarah and Nash were arguing on the couch

"So I don't care that he's your ex! Whys he coming!" Nash yelled at Sarah

"Because we're friends now and he wants to catch up nash!" Sarah said screaming back

I coughed a little and they both faced me softening the expression on their faces

"Good morning Kaitlyn, did we wake you?" Sarah asked sitting back on the couch

"Oh no your good, but please don't fight, the last time someone did fight, the person might've lost their boyfriend."

I say putting my head down and walking to the kitchen to get a drink

"Hey it's ok, I'll never leave your sister" nash said winking back and Sarah

"I have good news" nash said whispering in my ear

I whirled around and smiled really big "ok what is it??"

"Hayes has gotten up from his bed and is moving around the house"

I pondered that for a moment then thought of something so perfectly it had to work

Nash and I went back to the living to talk

I told Nash how ever since Matt had kissed me the first time, that I was confused.

And that I loved Hayes more than anything, so I didn't understand why I kissed Matt again.

Nash told me that he would talk to Hayes for me.

But something told me that Hayes wouldn't truly believe Nash.

So I had a plan.
