Chapter 50

Hayes's POV

The ambulance showed up moments later and the paramedics took Kaitlyn away

"Can I please ride in the ambulance?!" I begged them

They looked at each other and nodded

I slipped in the back of the ambulance still holding onto Kaitlyn a hand and watched as they tried to bring the life back into her

I texted Nash quickly and told him what was happening

He texted back quickly and said Sarah and him were one their way

Once we reached the hospital they jumped out taking Kaitlyn with them

"Hey buddy gotta stop you here, go wait in the waiting room please" the paramedics said

I stopped in my tracks and watched them wheel Kaitlyn down the hall and out of my sight

I stood in the hospital alone and looked around but didn't see Kaitlyn's parents yet so I went and sat in the waiting room

5 minutes later mr.and mrs.McCoy came running in with Nash and Sarah behind them

Sarah and mrs.McCoy were crying and came over by me and cried together

Nash came and hugged me

"Bro she'll be fine" he said still hugging me

I took in a big deep breath and let go of Nash

"Yea, she's strong" I said smiling at Nash

I sat down next to Sarah and hugged her

She hugged me back and she cried on my shoulder

We sat there for what seemed like forever until a doctor came out from Kaitlyn's room

"Family of Kaitlyn McCoy?" She asked

The 5 of us stood up and the doctor walked up to us

"Want the good news first or the bad news?" She asked

Mr.McCoy answered for us "good news"

"Well good news is she's gonna be fine," we all sighed in relief and I grabbed Sarah's hand telling her she is ok

"Bad news is we don't know when she's gonna wake up. She's in a coma" the doctor said

"What caused the coma?" Mr.McCoy asked

"The stress honey, the doctor told us that at her appointment a month ago" mrs.McCoy said

"Correct, we got the pills into her so now we'll just see how she does" the doctor the left us alone

I looked at everyone and was the first to speak
"Is it ok if I go into see her first?" I asked quietly

"Of course Hayes you found her and were so thankful for that, go ahead" mrs.McCoy said smiling

I smiled back and walked to Kaitlyn's room

I walked in quietly and looked into the room, I found Kaitlyn motionless on the hospital bed

Her eyes were still open and had no expression what so ever

I sat next to her and grabbed her hand, "so Kaitlyn, I was planning on taking you to dinner tonight but hey, a change of plans, no big deal" I laughed but then stopped realizing she wouldn't answer

I sighed and looked into Kaitlyn's opened frozen eyes

"I hope you wake up soon Kaitlyn" I said lastly and kissed her forehead

I left the room walked back to the waiting room

"Guess I'll be spending the night at the hospital every night until she wakes up" I said sitting back down next to Sarah

"Hayes you couldn't possibly stay every night!" Mrs.McCoy said shocked

"She's gonna wake up soon I know it, so I might as well stay" I said leaning back in my chair
