Chapter 22

Day before Kaitlyn's birthday*

Kaitlyn's POV

I jogged down the stairs in my leggings and wind breaker, I smelled bacon so of course I'm goin for it!

I hopped up onto one of our bar stools and waited for my mom to place the bacon in front of me.

"Well isn't someone just excited for food" my mom said smiling

"Well who isn't mom?" I said laughing

Sarah came down the stairs slowly scratching her head,

"how about run a little quieter" she said sitting next to me

"Oh sorry, I'm just really excited for our first basketball game and hayes can come watch!" I said taking a bite of my bacon

"I've been meaning to ask how you two have been going" my mom said giving Sarah some bacon

"Awesome" I said nodding

My mom smiled and walked away into the living room, I looked at Sarah and she gave me a confused look

"Can I help you?" She asked, "are you coming to my game?" I asked still staring

"Yep, nash is in L.A. Right now doing a show but will be back tomorrow for your birthday so I guess I'll go watch you" Sarah said smirking

I shoved her in the arm and ran for the stairs, I had everything perfectly placed in my room for my game today.

Shoes, socks, and my most favorite thing, my number 23 uniform. I love it so much I couldn't wear a different number, it would feel weird.

We were taking hayes to the game today so I need to make sure he's even up

Kaitlyn👑💏- hey loser you up?

I quickly got a response which was good so we would actually be on time to my game

Hayes❤️💑- well good morning to you too, yes I'm up and ready for your game!

Kaitlyn👑💏- good meet us at our house in 20 minutes💕

Hayes❤️💑- ok see ya then😘

I clicked the lock screen and began to pack my things up, While I was packing I remembered I needed to invite Taylee and Matt to my party tomorrow when I see them at our game today

Taylee and Matt have been in North Carolina for a week, I just haven't been able to have them over or hang out so today and tomorrow would be perfect

I laid on my sofa for 15 more minutes checking on my social medias, the same old same old photos of hayes and I and The fans that love me then the ones that despise me

"Kaitlyn! Hayes is walking over let's go!"

Hayes's POV

I grabbed a water and my phone and headed out the door over to Kaitlyn's.

Finally I can actually see how Kaitlyn plays, I heard she's pretty good with her friend Taylee. I can also meet her today, Kaitlyn said Taylee is her only "normal" friend from Illinois

I asked her if she poisons people and I only got the death glare so I'm never going to ask that again.

I made it over to Kaitlyn's house and her mom and dad were already packing the car

"Hey mr. And mrs. McCoy!" I waved over, her dad waved and her mom screamed for her to come down because I was there

Seconds later kaitlyn came through the front door with her duffel bag to her side. She had the biggest smile on her face and came towards me giving me a hug
