Chapter 48

Kaitlyn's POV

I got up around 10 and went down stairs to the smell of pancakes

"Yes mom, your amazing" I said to myself as I walked down the stairs

I walked around the corner on the stairs and gasped when I saw who was cooking

"Morning babe, you finally woke up!" Hayes said laughing

"Morning! I didn't realize you were coming over this early!" I said.

I was pretty embarrassed at how I looked right now

My hair was put up in a messy bun and I wore Hayes's huge sweatshirt with basketball pajama pants.

But then I noticed Hayes was still in his pajamas which were football pants and a Davidson Day football shirt

"Well I thought I would surprise you with breakfast and your dad let me in this morning so I decided to start cooking" Hayes chuckled and came around the counter and hugged me

"The pancakes smell good Hayes" I said sniffing the smell of pancakes

"Well I hope they taste good too! I worked on my skills since the last time we made pancakes together"

I smiled at the memory of the last time we did this together

"Don't throw flour on me again tho please" Hayes said pushing the flour away from me

I punched him in the arm and sat at the stool by the island

"Ok muh lady, your pancakes are done" Hayes said flipping two pancakes onto my plate

Hayes also got out the strawberry syrup and poured it on top of both pancakes

"Thanks" I said receiving my pancakes

Hayes kissed my cheek and sat next to me with his pancakes

"Whip cream?" Hayes asked holding up a can

"You know it dude" I said smiling

Hayes chuckled and sprayed us both with whip cream

Just as I was about the cut a piece of pancake Hayes sprayed whip cream in my face and smeared it all over

"Aw so beautiful!" He said licking the whip cream of his fingers

I smirked at him and got close to his face

"I think you should share this with me" I said grabbing Hayes before he could get away and kissed him so he got whip cream on his face

"Well not as bad as I thought" Hayes said now covered in whip cream

I giggled and grabbed a towel for the both of us

Once finished with the pancakes I helped Hayes clean up the kitchen and ran up stairs quickly to change into the outfits we bought yesterday

Once we were both were ready we went down stairs to set up the tables outside with the food and drinks

Next we got the fire pit ready for people to make smoreś and just get some heat tonight due to being outside

Finally we got the hammock out and chairs for people to sit

I checked on the pool to make sure it was clean for anyone who wanted to swim and made sure the floaties were out
