Kaitlyn's POV

The rest of the plane ride I thought about the whole dream.

How could it have been a dream? I dreamt about a whole summer dating my best friend and none of it happened

How though?

I felt everything, everything felt as though it was real.

I don't think I could tell Hayes about this when I see him today

He may think it's too weird

Before I never had this feeling about Hayes. He's always been my best friend and older brother, but some feeling for him is starting to fill my heart

And I like it.

I smiled looking through my phone at the pictures of Hayes and I

I picked out one of us from 3 years ago at Christmas time when they came to visit us in Illinois

I turned it to my screen saver and held my phone close to me

"Happy to be moving back?" Sarah asked

I smiled and kept my eyes on my phone

"You could say that, what about you?" I asked

"Well Nash and I have been talking even more and I think things could happen" Sarah said smiling

I smirked at her and fluttered my eyelashes
"Yea know maybe you should go out with him as soon as we get home today. Maybe go to the beach" I offered

Sarah thought it over and nodded "sounds good!" Sarah said smiling and went back to her phone

I went back to thinking about the dream and how crazy it was.

I was suddenly cut from my thoughts by the pilot

"Hello folks, we have just landed in beautiful North Carolina, thanks for flying with us today"

I smiled and jumped out of my seat full of excitement

"lets go everyone!" My mom said handing me my carry on

I smiled and grabbed it from her

"Welcome home girls" my dad said leading us through the airport

Sarah and I smiled at each other and fist bumped

As we were walking I noticed someone familiar down at the end of the airport

I saw the person holding up a sign that said 'Kaitlyn McCoy'

I squinted my eyes until I noticed those familiar ice blue eyes and brown hair

I saw his wide pretty smile and I smiled back

I started running to him and wrapped my arms around his neck

"Welcome home best friend" Hayes said spinning me around

"I've missed you Hayes" I said into his ear

"I've missed you too Kaitlyn" Hayes said putting me down

"Ow!" I said letting go real quick

I looked down and saw the pink roses Hayes got me in my dream when I moved back

"I'm sorry, I got these for you" Hayes said blushing and handing me the flowers

"My favorite" I smiled "thanks"

I sniffed them and realized this may turn out like my dream

"Hey that's a nice necklace, where'd ya get it?" Hayes asked

I looked down and noticed my K&H necklace

I gasped and looked up at Hayes. How the heck did that get there?!

"Um ya know I can't remember" I smiled

I opened up the necklace for Hayes to see the pictures of us and he smiled

"Ready to go?" Hayes asked motioning towards the doors

"I made plans for you, me, and Stacy to go to the ice cream parlor for ice cream" Hayes said smiling

Just like the dream, oh my.

"I've been ready" I said smiling

Hayes was just about to walk out when I grabbed him one more time

I hugged him tightly and whispered into his ear

"Don't worry Hayes, I did hang on."
