Chapter 23

Kaitlyn's POV

The view outside this room is quite stunning, the traffic of people and seeing a lake out in the distance

This past hour I've had strangers come into my room, one even held my hand and called me beautiful

He was very cute but I have no clue who he is.

The doctor came walking into my room with a clipboard and something in a cup

"Hello ms.kaitlyn, how are you feeling?"

I'm taking it I'm Kaitlyn?

"Um fine, why are you letting strangers into my room?"

He didn't answer he just gave me the cup. "I need you to rest for a couple more hours so drink this"

I didn't hesitate and swallowed the substance in the cup

Instantly I began to feel drowsy and the doctor laid my head back onto my pillow

"See ya in a few hours kaitlyn" the doctor said exiting

Hayes's POV

I saw the doctor walk out of Kaitlyn's room and I speed walked to him

"Hey doc?" He looked at me with a smile

"Has it been 5 hours?" I asked hoping for a yes

He chuckled at my question

"No sir I just gave her some medicine to sleep and help her remember things and when she wakes up she'll know who you are"

He ruffled my hair and walked away to the next patient

I sighed and walked slowly back to my chair next to Sarah who was sleeping.

"Hey hayes want any food?" Mrs.McCoy asked me handing me money

"Thank you" I smiled accepting the money and walking to the hospitals food section

I found a Panda Express and stood in line knowing what I wanted

As I stood in line I felt a light tapping on my shoulder, when I turned around Taylee was standing there with matt behind her looking at the menu

"Oh hi Taylee" she pulled me in for a hug "is she ok?" She asked still holding onto me, I let her go

"Well she has a twisted ankle so no basketball for a while," she sighed since Kaitlyn was her partner in basketball

"And she also can't remember anyone.." "Wait what?!" Taylee was shocked and started to breath really fast

Matt held onto her to calm her down "she can't remember me? So that means she can't even remember her own parents or you!

She probably will never remember anything or anyone! I have to redo meeting and becoming friends with her?! Oh my gosh..."

She looked like she was about to pass out "wait! Don't worry in about 2 more hours she'll remember us, the doctor gave her medicine"

Taylee looked relieved and we ordered food and walked back to the McCoy's

I checked my watch and saw it was finally 6:08pm, 5 hours have passed and my beautiful girlfriend will remember me

Before the doctor could say our name I jumped up and walked over to him to see her

"She's good and ready to see you, I gave her a test to make sure she knew things and she did so go on ahead"

I smiled and opened the door slowly, Kaitlyn was in the same position I left her in 5 hours before

She looked over at me and smiled just like she did this morning
