Chapter 43

Oh my gawsh. It's been a month since I've updated.... I'm so sorry, but hey I have spring break now so here's an update finally!!

Hayes's POV

The plane ride home was pretty bumpy but I didn't mind. Just knowing I got to go home was great

I had kaitlyn to the left of me starring out the window of the airplane just waiting to get home. We barely spoke, we just enjoyed the presence of each other

"Hey kaitlyn," I decided I needed to talk somewhat on this ride

"Yea?" She asked facing towards me

"I promise I won't go on anymore tours this summer so we can be together for the rest of the time" I grabbed her hand and smiled into her green eyes

Summer was coming closer to an end and I had to spend as much time as I could with kaitlyn

"hayes that's a pretty big commitment! All of your fans want to see you" kaitlyn said semi shocked

I sighed and squeezed her hand, "for you, I'm willing to do this"

Kaitlyn blushed and kissed my cheek
"I always knew you were such a sweet heart"

I winked at her and slowly closed my eyes to get some rest before we land

The airport was filled with fans wanting pictures with nash, kaitlyn, Sarah, and I but we pushed through with security

Our parents were waiting by the luggage claim with big smiles

"So how was the tour!" My dad asked hugging nash and I

"Awesome, especially my birthday" I turned my head and saw kaitlyn smiling at me and continued talking to her parents

We all walked out of the airport together and got into our cars to head home. I texted Kaitlyn in the car and told her to meet me at the park when she got home

I waited at the swing set until I saw a figure walk up the side walk

"Hey Grier" kaitlyn said sitting in a swing next to me

"Hey McCoy" I said grabbing her hand and begun pumping my legs back and forth to get height on the swings

"Uh hayes. I don't like heights.." Kaitlyn said shaking

"I know babe, that's why I have your hand. Like old times" I gave her a smile and squeezed her hand to let her know I have her

She stopped shaking and began doing the same legs motion as me to get high on the swing

We swung for a while just talking about anything until I noticed the time, it was really late

Kaitlyn finally stopped her swing and reached into her pocket to retrieve her phone

She looked at the screen and the smile faded from her face, just when I was about to ask her what's wrong she stood up from her swing

"It's late, I need to go home"

"But we always stay out late" I said slowly stopping my swing

"Hayes I need to go home" Kaitlyn said more aggressively

I stopped the swing fast and stood up looking at her surprised

"I'm sorry.."
Kaitlyn got quieter and starting walking away

I didn't respond and ran to catch up to her

"Babe is something wrong?" I asked grabbing her shoulders
