Chapter 2

Kaitlyn's POV

"Kaitlyn get your bag and let's go!" "Sarah have you seen my bag come around yet? No? Then come down and wait!" Sarah was always so impatient, but I think she's just really excited to see Nash.

Finally my bag came around and we were out of there. Our car that was shipped to us was waiting in the parking lot and we all jumped in.

"Kaitlyn did I tell you where our new house is?" "No mom where is it?" She waited a second then with a big smile she said it's across from the Griers! "Oh my gosh yassss!" I always said yass cause why not? My dad started chuckling and stated "Ok Kaitlyn, even tho we live across from them you can not sneak off at night to hang with Hayes you need to ask first, that goes for you too Sarah with Nash." Sarah just sat there and blushed. "Ok dad"

Hayes's POV

{45 minutes before Kaitlyn's plane landed}

Kaitlyn will be be landing soon and I need to go out and get her flowers! "Mom can you take me to the store now?" I screamed from my bed. "Sure honey why?" "Aww does wittle haas need to get something for his girlfriend?" Nash said smirking. "Nash shut up she's not my girlfriend, maybe you should get ready for Sarah your bae to come!" I fired that one back laughing. He just glared at me, "Hayes have Nash take you since he's up now at 11:30" she sounds annoyed since Nash slept so late and Nash just groaned and got ready.

"What kind of flowers buddy?" Nash asked while we were staring at the flower section at the store. "Pink roses." I knew exactly what to get her because she loves roses and the color pink. I grabbed the flowers and Nash and I headed home.

"So haas, you excited for Kaitlyn to come back?" Is Nash crazy or something? "Of course I'm excited!" "I know you like her buddy and I think you guys would look cute together so I hope things work out" Nash said smiling at me. "Nash do you like Sarah? I know how close you guys are so I was just wondering." "Yea.." Nash said blushing.

Once we were home Nash ran upstairs to get ready for Sarah. I did the same because I need to look good for Kaitlyn. She hasn't seen me in 6 years so I need to make a good impression.

I put her favorite shirt I own on me which is a Ralph Lauren plaid shirt, and I also put some jeans on and my vans. I recently got a hair cut so my hair is just a little shorter but looks pretty much the same.

I grabbed Kaitlyn's gift off my dresser and made sure everything was right with it. I got Kaitlyn a necklace that had a K&H on it and then when you open it it has a picture of her and I when we were younger.

The picture was of when we had the wedding and engraved on the inside it said "friends forever"

I hope she loves it! I wrapped it up and check my phone. I have 10 minutes till she shows up!

I jog down the stairs with the necklace and flowers and run across the street to her house. I find a spot on her porch and wait for my best friends arrival!

Kaitlyn's POV

"5 minutes and we should be at our new house everyone!" My dad was so excited to start his new job here. With that new job we were able to get a huge house my mom told me. We turned into the subdivision and I saw huge houses! I knew hayes's house was big but not this big!

Sarah was looking in the mirror and fixing her hair and all that stuff that a girl does before she sees people. I think she was doing it for Nash. They'd be so cute together. I thought about that and smiled.

My friend Grace back in Illinois was texting saying all this stuff about how she has a surprise for me. I don't know what it is but she said it was gonna be something awesome. When I told her I was friends with hayes and Nash she freaked cause she loves them, hopefully some time she can meet them.

I was texting Stacy saying I was in North Carolina, she said later we should meet up at our favorite ice cream place. I said sure then locked my phone and backed up my beats and portable charger.

As soon as I saw my new house I was in awe! It was huge! Then I noticed there was someone on the porch. "Who's on th- OH MY GOSH!" Was all I said because then I jumped out of the car and ran to him. I saw Hayes and just wanted to hug him. "Oh my gosh hayes, I've missed you so much" "I missed you too Kaitlyn" I was so happy to see him.

During our hug something poked me. "Ouch" I said while rubbing my arm. "Oh sorry Kaitlyn, I got you these." He said blushing. "Pink roses my favorite" I couldn't believe he remembered!

Hayes and I walked into my house and we sat on the floor cause there was no furniture. "Hey Kaitlyn I also got you this." Hayes handed me a small box all wrapped up. I unwrapped the box and it revealed a necklace with a K&H on it. I started smiling so big, I probably looked like an idiot. "Open it" hayes said smiling. When I opened it there was a picture of hayes and I when we were younger. "Oh my gosh its from our wedding we had! I loved the engraved part" hayes blushed "I love it hayes!" I said hugging him so tight. I missed this kid.

"Hey hayes! What's up!" Sarah said walking in. "Sarah!" Hayes said jumping up hugging her. "Missed you kid"she said letting the hug go. "Where's your brother?" She asked "right here" Nash said walking up behind her hugging her. "NASH!" Aw so cute I though smiling. I then looked over at hayes and he was smiling at me. I blushed

Hayes's POV

wow. Just wow. Kaitlyn looked so perfect. I couldn't stop looking at her and smiling. Her eyes were the same changing colors, she still has that cute blond strip in the front and the braces.

Things are a lot different over facetime instead of in person!

Can I kiss her? Wait no I can't were not dating. She probably just thinks of me as her bestfriend anyway. Just keep that thought in your mind hayes!

There's just one problem. Do I tell Kaitlyn about Stacy and I? At the end of 6th grade year Stacy and I started talking and we dated in 7th grade but then we broke up. Stacy and Kaitlyn are bestfriends, hopefully when I tell her she's not mad.

I'm gonna ask Kaitlyn if she wants to go out later tonight, I think that's a good start to our relationship. Right? I can take her to get ice cream then a movie. That sounds like a perfect date to me, but to her it's just two friends hanging out. Ugh this will be hard.

Sarah's POV

When Nash and I hugged I didn't want to let go. I missed him so much, he was my best friend here and actually my first crush. I don't think he likes me but I do. I just don't want to tell him how I feel. Maybe later...

Nash's POV

Sarah looks so good, she really has developed since she left. No more braces and no short hair with blond high lights. Now she has straight perfect teeth and long dark brown hair. Why is she so pretty? I need to ask her on a date soon. I don't want the other boys like Cam or Matt to get her before me. I just now noticed how similar Sarah and Kaitlyn look. It's like hayes and I how we look A LOT a like. I need to think of a plan to get Sarah tho.

Kaitlyn's POV

Hayes and I looked around my new house, it took us 20 minutes to look since it's so huge! Hayes wouldn't stop looking at me. Do I look weird or do I have something in my braces? Hopefully not... Hayes actually looks really nice, handsome like. Wait do I like hayes? No. He's just a friend. He probably doesn't like me.

Hayes finally talked. "Kaitlyn do you wanna go for ice cream then see a movie with me tonight?" "Yea! Sounds fun, Stacy was actually wanting me to go so can she join?" "Sure" hayes said smiling but in his eyes I saw disappointment.

Hayes's POV

Did I really just say Stacy can come? Now Kaitlyn and I can't be alone, I guess it's ok since she hasn't seen her in so long but I wanted to catch up with Kaitlyn. Now it's gonna be all weird with Stacy there, oh well I'll try to have fun with them both.
