Chapter 21

Kaitlyn's POV

I woke up the the sun right in my eyes. Hayes forgot to close my blinds when he snuck out of the window last night

My dad isn't very fond to hayes staying the night so hayes has to sneak out now when he stays late.

I rolled over in my bed and looked at the mirror next to my nightstand, my bed head looks so great and the bags under my eyes are so designer

Hayes and I stayed up eating and watching movies until 3 am, I checked my phone, it reads 9:00am

Greattt 6 hours of sleep. I groan and check my social medias, hayes posted a picture of him and I from our "photo shoot" yesterday

I smiled at the picture and saw I got a text from hayes.

Hayes❤️💏- hey beautiful, 3 more days until your big birthday! I already asked people to come to the party your gonna have so you don't have to worry about not having many people there. I have football today and you have basketball today so have a great day and ttyl ily 😘

I groan even louder for two reasons
1. I forgot I had basketball and I'm super tired

And 2. Hayes invited people I don't even know to my party. He better stay by me the whole time if I'm having it

I crawled around my bed for a few minutes until I finally decided to get up and be productive

As I was about to exit my room my phone buzzed again in my hand, I slide down my wall and sat on my floor going to the text

Stacy- hey guy stealer, be ready for practiced today.😈

I groaned and chucked my phone across the room. I threw my head in my hands and just sat there.

I forgot Stacy plays basketball, thank goodness grace went back to Illinois last week because she plays as well and it would be a mess...

Stacy's gonna push me around today and hayes won't be there to stop her.

It's okay Kaitlyn, don't let her get to you.

"Kaitlyn are you ready to go?" My mom screamed from downstairs

I looked in the mirror making sure I had my basketball shorts on, a tshirt, and my basketball shoes

"Yes mom"

I jogged down the stairs and slowly closed the door behind me. The last time someone slammed the front door shut, hayes broke a vase

"So mom, could I have a party for my birthday?"

"Sure honey! Would you like a bonfire out back?"

"That's fine."

That's all I needed to stay, I didn't want to talk anymore because soon words are going to be thrown at me by the one and only Stacy.

Hayes's POV*

I stepped out of the shower after a great football practice. My dad said that I will be a great quarter back in the future on the way home

I hope Kaitlyn's basketball practice went fine considering Stacy was there. When Kaitlyn has a game, that's when I can be there for Kaitlyn and watch for her

But of course there's coaches at the practice, what's the worst Stacy could do?

I quickly get dressed and text kaitlyn that I'm coming over, I don't get a response but it's ok that I still come

I notice nash is gone so I assume that he's over at Kaitlyn's

At my last spray of cologne my phone bings, I check seeing Kaitlyn finally texted me back
