Together Forever (Leo Valdez)

My home is a torture house.

Everyone hated me there.

My mom, my siblings, my stepdad, Everyone.

Whenever I would go to school, everybody treats me like i'm some freak.

I was never treated with respect.

I was the trouble child that nobody liked.

One night, my parents were reminding me of my sibling who I 'should be more like'.

They scolded me about the fact that I was failing almost every single subject I had.

I ran to my room and got the only bag I ever owned.

I gathered all my clothes which wasn't much because nobody cared about me.

I put on my only pair of shoes and ran to the door.

"No! I can't take it anymore! I've gone through with all this all my life but it's about time I show all of you that the fact that i'm treated like this will not be tolerated. i've had enough!" I screamed and out of my house.

The rain was pouring and I was crying my heart out.

I kept running to the streets until I bumped into someone.

His eyes were the first thing I saw when I got up.

He was out in the rain with a backpack, just like me.

"What are you doing out here?" He asks me.

"I... Uh.... Sort of... Ran away." I managed to say despite the fact that it was raining and i wasn't wearing a jacket and I did not have an umbrella.

"You aren't the only one." I can't believe he ran away too.

He met my eyes and saw that tears were still falling down my face.

He wiped them away. "Hey don't cry. What's your name?" He asked me.

"(Y/N)... You?" I said.

"I'm Leo. If you want, we could stay with each other until things get better." He said.

I finally stopped crying. "Sure."

He smiled.

We kept walking and as the rain got stronger, he took of his jacket and put it around me.

We found his Aunt's house and went inside.

He talked to her and they seemed to have a disagreement.

I heard her say she was sending him to a school for troubled children.

"No! I won't leave (Y/N)!" He screamed.

"Then I will pay for that girl too as long as you go away and never come back!"
She said.

Ouch.

"Fine. Can we stay here until then?" He was more relaxed now.

"Okay. As long as you don't get us killed too." She walked away.

*timeskip*

I was glad to leave my house.

Now I know why I didn't belong there.

I was a demigod and I was meant to be in Camp Half-Blood with Leo and my new friends.

I shouldn't call them friends because they were much more than that, they were my real family.

......

I walked to the beach because Leo told me to.

I didn't know why.

As soon as I got there, I saw tables and a food buffet.

Everyone jumped up and screamed "Happy Birthday, (Y/N)!!!"

I almost forgot it was my birthday since in my old house, nobody celebrated it or even just simply said Happy Birthday.

Leo was right in the middle. I ran to him and hugged him.

"How did you know?" I asked him.

"You told me at that boarding school, remember?" He said.

After all that time, I can't believe he still remembered.

We all ate and some of the Apollo kids even sang songs dedicated to me.

A slow song played. Leo got up from his seat.

"Will you dance with me?" He asks.

"Of course, Leo." I took his hand and got up from my seat.

We walked up to the dance floor.

I put in hands around his neck as he puts his hands around my waist.

"So... (Y/N).... I wanted to ask you something." He said.

"Yeah?" I replied.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" He asks me.

My heart fills with joy like all the weight from my shoulders were gone.

"Yes, Leo." I said.

"I love you." He said.

"I love you too." I replied.

He kissed me.

It was truly the best day of my entire life.
