Y. N's P.O.V

I reached for the necklace Percy gave me, it was a pearl necklace with a gold lace.

No offense, it looked like the stuff old ladies wear.

I went out of my cabin, nervous to see Percy.

I saw him running towards me.

This is it, you will have to tell him.

He had a smile on his face, his sea-green eyes gleamed in the sunlight.

"Y.N! You can't believe it! I just made something for yo-"

I cut him off by saying, "Percy, we need to talk...."

His smile faded, "Why?"

"Uhmm.... We just need to."

"Well, okay."

You went in your cabin and sat on your bed.

"Before we do, can I tell you something?" He asked.

"Yeah."

"Well.... I....made you something, it was a life-sized sand castle.... So we can... You know..... Date?"

He was making things harder for me.

"Wow, that's nice.... But I think you should find someone else to go with you." I said.

"What do you mean?"

"You know what I mean."

Tears started to form in my eyes. 

"Go.... Back to Annabeth." My voice cracked, swallowing back a tear.

"But I love you."

"Please, Percy...."

"At least give me a reason why....."

I'm already regretting this descision.

I inhaled. "Because, I don't feel like.... we're 'meant to be'...."

He looked shocked, his eyes looked so dull and broken.

"You know the moment when you fall in love with someone, then after being with them, that sort of... spark, is gone?"

"Yeah."

I stared at his eyes.

"Oh." He said in realization.

"Goodbye, Percy." 

He was supposed to say something but I slammed the door at his face. (A.N   O_O )

He knocked on my door, repeatedly.

I hesitantly opened it. 

"Wh- what about this?" he said.

"What about what?"

He grabbed something from his jacket pocket and revealed a small velvet box.

No. It can't be. 

"We were dating for 4 years..... and we are old enough." Percy said, with tears rolling down his face.

He opened it and inside was a gold ring with a diamond pendant.

"I love you, Y.N. I want to spend my life with you....." 

He closed the box, and gave it me. "If you ever change your mind, wear it and go to me..... I will be waiting."

He left me with the box. I closed the door and sat on my bed.

Should I go back to him? 

I already decided.
