Chapter Five

"I'm exhausted." Vivian sighs as we take a seat in the library study room I have booked for the evening. "Can it be tomorrow yet?"

"At least tomorrow is your last day of the week. I have two more." I remind the complainer.

Fall Fest weekend was the last free weekend until Halloween. Midterms are next week, and prep has dragged this week on. It's only Wednesday and I feel as if I've already had a full seven day week.

"I just want to be not thinking about ANYTHING!"

I got lucky and most of my work is either papers or non-cumulative exams. And I don't have a midterm in my Friday class, as we just handed in a paper.

Vivian and I stocked up in snacks, and we're going to spend the rest of the evening balancing between procrastinating and doing work. She invited Calvin and Dio to come at some point as long as they brought Pizza for dinner.

"Don't you have a paper due tomorrow, that you haven't finished?" I raise my eyebrows at her.

"Exactly my point!" She exclaims. "If it was tomorrow already, it would be done."

"Pretty sure that is not how it works."

"PFT! Whatever."

My Professors don't typically assign a whole lot of actual writing homework other than my statistics course. So my night will be a whole lot of highlighting and note-taking.

"You know," Vivian pops her face in front of my computer screen.

"Cami talked to me today, about the sorority."

"Oh yeah?" I push her face away from my screen and keep reading.

"Yeah, although their official rush process has ended, and I can't pledge this semester, they have some unofficial rush process that I can start. She thinks that I'm a perfect fit."

"Mhm... perfect."

"She thinks I'm President material."

I roll my eyes. I don't care about that, they're just inflating her ego. If she really wanted to join a sorority she would have done it already.

Vivian gets the hint and leaves me to do my work until the boys show up.

"We got beer! We got Pizza!" Calvin and Dio burst through the doors.

"Oh thank god." Vivian lets out a sigh of relief as if she was dying of boredom.

Calvin kisses her with passion that I really didn't have any desire to see, and Dio plops down next to me.
