You can feel it. fall's arrival

the dark storm driven clouds in the mountains, ready to rain down. the air's cold feather touch —chilling my senses and granting a break from the sun's relentless heat

the leaves drift in the wind, carried through the sky like crows flying to a nearby branch

the air is thicker, though lighter. there's no more worry about the sweltering weather, but if there is a need for a steaming cup of tea this morning to grant what warmth is available

fall is coming. and with a new season comes a new me.
