I waited
until i thought i could wait no more
then you came
and held me like the first day it all changed
back when i thought life would continue to grow darker
my pain stronger
and bad luck to force its wrath upon me forever
I took you again in my arms
my breath trailing down your neck
your head on my shoulder
because before you were my savior
the gold shining in the blackness
But now i'm clawing at these empty sheets
cold
numb
incomplete
with ice over the fire
of our raging collision.
