It's easy enough to pretend
it's easy enough to try and forget
but you know it's impossible
you know you just can't let go
But what happened between us is history now
we don't need to backtrack to try and figure it out
it's over. your actions proved and i fell victim
so just stop making this worse
because this agony wounds deeper than when you slammed that wooden door
You act like you care, but deep down you know
we'll never be the same
So tell me please
if you love me
if you do, release me
from consistently wondering
if you ever cared
by the words you spoke and sent to me
if your intentions held pure
by the same hands pulling me close
because i can't take this abuse
of spreading confusion and uncertainty
by how you feel for me
anymore.
