Nakatulala pa rin ako kahit sa gitna ng aking first subject dahil sa panaginip ko kagabi na hindi ko maintindihan.

Nalaman ko na rin ang schedule ko at hindi naman masyadong hassle. Hinati ang bawat araw sa iisang subject. Lecture sa umaga, training sa hapon. Ngayong Lunes ay Martial Arts. Ang Special Topics ay tuwing Martes. Tuwing Myerkulis naman ang History. Samantalang tuwing Huwebes at Biyernes ang Major Subject. Sabado at Linggo ay pahinga, at sa araw din na ito ginaganap ang mga mahahalagang okasyon. Lahat ng first year ay magkaklase sa tatlong subjects. Ang Major Subject naman ay nakabase sa elemental power namin.

"Alexis Donn!"

Napabalik ang aking ulirat nang may sumigaw ng pangalan ko. Damn! It was Master Cormac Beltrand who shouted it.

"I presume you're aware that you're in the middle of my lecture, but you still got some nerves to space out in front of me?!" nagagalit na sabi niya sa harap ko. Nagtawanan naman ang iba kong mga kaklase. What the hell am I doing in the first day of my class?

Napatingin ako sa katabi ko pero bigla rin akong napalingon sa kaliwa dahil masasamang mga tingin ni France ang sumalubong sa akin. Nginitian ko ang nasa kaliwa ko, dahil as usual walang emosyon ang mukha niya. Nasa gitna kasi ako nina France at Emily. Nakaupo kami ngayon sa damuhan since dito rin kami mag-iinsayo.

"Get your ass up, Miss Alexis Donn!"

Napatayo na lang ako dahil nakakatakot si Master Cormac. Napalapit ako sa kanya. Well, as expected from a martial art master, he has this well-built physique and manly looks.

"Listen everyone, we will have a demonstration. It would beme versus Miss Alexis Donn."

What the heck? Is his grudge against me that big? Serves myself for spacing out. I'm really great putting myself in trouble. Mas lumakas naman ang mga tawanan mula sa aking mga kaklase.

"Silence!" Bigla namang napatigil ang lahat dahil sa sigaw ni Master Cormac.

"Listen carefully, Alexis. I won't go easy on you, because this is a Battle Royale. There's no room for mercy. This is an actual demonstration facing an enemy. Since this a Martial Arts subject, you are not allowed to use your elemental power. This will help you develop your inner endurance and strengthen your elemental bond, that's the reason why this subject is very crucial that spacing out will surely lead to major punishment. You get it now?"

"Master Cormac, what if I receive fatal injuries? You're kidding right?! I'm still a student!" pagrereklamo ko dahil hindi ko maintindihan ang judgement at punishment niya. He's going far.

"Since this will be done with academic purposes, the school will allow it. And if you're worrying about the injuries, I heard the school has a great nurse." Nagtawanan na naman ang mga kaklase ko.

"You're good as dead." Napatingin ako sa nagsalita sa aking likuran. I saw a familliar face. The face of Merida Frost with a smirk. Napatingin ako sa aking mga kaibigan nagbabakasakaling tulungan nila ako.

"It's too much!" pagsigaw ni Mat.

"He's right, Master Cormac! She's just a new student, and she's also a girl," sunod na sumigaw ay si France. Samantalang si Emily ay tumaas lang ang kamay na mukhang sinasabing 'I agree.'
