Speaking from experience; I have four dogs and not a day goes by where you don't hear "Come here my baby". One puppy, Pugsy Lulu is the youngest, but the biggest. She is also my mum's favourite. It's amusing to see her get jealous when she call one of the puppies to her. If she's on the other side of the couch, she'll come springing to assert her dominance. If Lulu is already close to my mum and mum decides to pay attention to the other dogs, Lulu will pretend to bite them, if that doesn't work them she'll clamour her way onto my mum's lap and that's that.
