I am sure you have seen ads about this on YouTube or TV. But I will say it again. Periods are normal. Having a period is normal. There is no shame in this. It is a natural, healthy part of a woman's life. Periods are NORMAL. Therefore, it is essential that everyone is aware and educated on how to look after themselves properly before and during this monthly cycle. You may think this is common sense, but believe me, there are many people out there who do not know.

That is why today exists. To increase education and awareness surrounding menstrual hygiene in the hopes to further educate all members of the community.But first, let's take a look at the evolution of how menstruation has become such a "taboo" topic to talk about.
