Day: 163
Superman Day
By HydrangeaMadness101Don your red capes, ladies and gentlemen, because it’s Superman Day (also known as Man of Steel Day). Started in 2013 by DC Entertainment two days before the release of the film “Man of Steel”, it has become a popular celebration for DC fans. You can’t be a true Superman fan without celebrating Superman Day, now can you?
There are many ways to celebrate Superman, from binge-watching movies and TV shows featuring our overpowered Kryptonian idol, to dressing up as him. Ladies, feel free to dress up as Supergirl.
If you’ve never watched the old, black-and-white Superman films from the 1950s, I would recommend you do so. They’re extremely cheesy, so expect a good laugh. That’s going to be my excuse to watch TV all day - I’ll just say I’m celebrating Superman Day. What do you think you’ll do to celebrate, if you choose to? Or will you celebrate another superhero instead? Batman’s one of my favourites, although Batman Day falls on September 15th.
