Is there a cuter polar animal than the polar bear? Doubtful. Polar bears are considered to be the apex predators of the Arctic. Owing to their high position in the food chain , they are able to signal when there are problems in the Marine life and ecosystem of the Arctic thus making them highly important and a very valuable source to humans as an indicator species.

However, their populations are decreasing and they are under continuous threat due to the ongoing climate change which has greatly diminished their their ice habitat causing them to move further inland when nursing which increases their risks of running into humans, which poses danger to both the bear and the human.

Polar Bears are not ready to be extinct. We need polar bears. And polar bears need us. There are even websites which allow you to “adopt” a polar bear thereby protecting and caring for the polar bear in its natural habitat. There are numerous organisations that are actively helping in saving and creating awareness about these magnificent creatures and you can help too!
