Meeting For The First Time

Your POV

I was at the park walking my dog Jax, when he came across a squirrel, I lost grip of his leash as he started sprinting after the squirrel. "Jax! Come back!" I started running after my dog, the cold winter breeze nipping my pink cheeks.

"Jax!" As I ran around the bushes I crashed into something, or rather someone.

We both tumbled to the floor me landing on top of the person, groaning out in pain I looked down at my victim to see the most gorgeous human being I have ever seen in my life. "Um...uh-Hi" I felt my cheeks grow hot, but thank goodness for the cold otherwise he would have been able to tell that I was blushing.

"Uh, hi" he looked me in the eyes and I stared back into his chocolate brown ones. The world seemed to slow down, coming to a stop. It felt like we were the only two people in the world, all surrounding noises drowned out, Jax long forgotten. I just stared at him admiring his features, strong jaw, pink full lips, rosy cheeks, deep brown eyes full of emotion, longs thick eyelashes that brushed his cheek bones every time he blinked and curly brown hair. This guy is pure handsomeness, he is literally an angel sent from above.

"Oh! Sorry, I'm still on top of you" Snapping out of my daze I got off of him and leant him a hand and pulled him up off the snow covered ground. 

When we were fully standing I noticed how tall he was, I had to crane my neck to look up at him, but then again I am a midget. "Uh yeah sorry about that, I was chasing after my dog, he saw a squirrel and then just took off...oh my gosh! Jax! I'm so sorry I have to go" I started running in the direction where Jax ran, leaving the mystery guy behind.

Running like a lunatic across the snow covered park I finally found Jax barking up a tree, the squirrel must have gone up the tree. Grabbing his leash I pulled him away from the tree. "Naughty boy! Come on Jax let's head home" turning around I came face to face with the mystery guy I crashed into just mere seconds ago.

"Hi, I'm so sorry about before, I didn't see you" I apologised profusely until he finally spoke.

"That's alright, it's also partly my fault, I wasn't watching where I was going" he chuckled remembering our encounter from earlier.

"I'm y/n" I stuck out my hand for him to shake, which he gladly accepted.

"Hi y/n, nice to meet you, my name is Shawn" I smiled at him loving the way my name rolled off his tongue so effortlessly. 

"Well, it's nice to meet you too Shawn, again I am so sorry about before" I couldn't stop apologising.

"Don't worry about it, the snow cushioned my fall. So this is Jax huh, nice to meet you buddy, you know you shouldn't go running off, you stressed y/n out" He knelt down and spoke to Jax.

"You can pet him if you want" I spoke up.

"Oh I would if I could, he's such a beautiful dog, but I'm allergic unfortunately" he gave me a disappointed smile. 

"Oh, that's a shame. Too bad I'm not a cat person, err-I mean uh-aha never mind" I laughed nervously.

What is wrong with me? Get a grip y/n!

He simply laughed along with me, god I love the sound of his laugh.

"Thank you, I like the sound of your laugh too" he smiled at me, my cheeks instantly grew hot.

"Oh my god did I say that out loud" he nodded his head smiling at me. "Ugh how embarrassing!"

"Don't worry I do that sometimes, say something, thinking I said it in my head but really I said it out loud" We both laughed in the middle of the empty park, everyone is probably at home sitting by the fireplace drinking hot chocolate.
