You try to fill me with your lies,
I see past your words, that disguise
Your fantasies hide the pain
thoughts numb like Novocaine
your crystal clear words I see through like glass so
You want to shift the blame
to cover up your shame
you live in your own world
but I won't play that game
you can twist it how you want
but you won't twist me up
no, you won't leave me stained
shame, tries to punish me, beat me down
but I'll keep on fighting, I won't drown
lies that we tell ourselves, to hide our hearts intent
why must be there be a scapegoat?
there's not always someone to bring up to the stand
nothing left to give, i just want to live
free from your grip, free from my past
don't know what to choose, nothing left to lose
finally free, was too blind to see
I thought I had no choice
now I've finally found my voice
