Pages Of You

As I stare out into night skies

Marveling at twinkling Creator's creation

It makes make think of how you shine

Fills me with elation,

Though away from me in time and space

In heart we're still so close

What fills me up with wondrous thought

And bright futures of the most,

What's brought me here is most unlike

Anything I'd have ever thought

But I'm glad mistakes and tragedy

Led me to this victory I've wrought.

Never have I known one so kind

Who eases any troubled day

Whose voice sounds like a melodies' song

Through all white noise in the fray,

Never have I known one so selfless

Who put others first every time,

A heart so pure, how could I ever turn away?

This attraction can't be denied,

Never have I known one so beautiful

A priceless, sculpted masterpiece

Those kind eyes to your soul, a shining splendor

That make my knees feel weak,

Never have I known so strong before

That good could be so good

I'll be the best that I can be

To protect this treasure as I should.

So I await your company patiently

As I know you do the same

My love for you will only grow stronger

Any trial to have you is not in vain,

It almost scares me to love so much

Especially so soon

Knowing how the sting of lost love can hurt

When all went south by noon,

But it won't stop me, I'll still press on

As a soldier of love, to war I'll march

I've learned to use my mind of reason

while still loving strong with all my heart,

As a Gemini, I've found my long lost twin

My other me to join in life's unending tale

As long as we tell this story together

We will never truly fail.
