Cam's POV:

I woke up from the sound of Carter walking around downstairs. I got out of bed and looked at the clock. 2:15 am. Why was he out so late?

I walked downstairs and saw Carter sitting at the kitchen table, eating cereal.

"Oh hey man, did I wake you up?" He said.

"It's cool. I'm pretty hungry too." I said and grabbed the cereal from him.

"There's someone here isn't there." He said, I nodded.

"How'd you know?" I said, surprised.

"You look happy for once man." He patted my back while I poured the milk in my bowl.

"So, she must mean something to you, huh?" He said. I sighed. She made me uncontrollably happy, but I knew she wasn't going to stay with me.

"Wait..." Carter said, interuppting my thoughts. "Is it 'the' girl?"

I proudly nodded. He has been telling me for the last six months that she isn't worth it and that I need to move on.

"Wow, hard work pays off." He said, chuckling a bit. "You finally stalked her down?"

"No." I said sternly, it was pretty embarrassing that I have been trying to find her for so long... and it was pretty creepy.

"Then how?"

"She went to Ian's class last night." I smiled at the memory of us dancing together.

"Wow, what a coincidence." He stood up and put his bowl in the sink.

"I don't really think it was a coincidence..." I said... I felt as if it was fate.

"Shit Cam, you're whipped!" He laughed. I shrugged and laughed a little with him.

"So, how does Hayes feel about this?" He asked me.

"I haven't bothered to tell him. It's not like we are together. We are nowhere near it."

"Well you want to fight for her, don't you?" I nodded. "She will most likely come around, I mean, you are SO in love with her, how couldn't she?" I smiled at the thought of us together. "And if you do get together... Hayes may be a problem." He patted my back and started to walk up to his room. I figured he wouldn't mind. If I'm in love with her, he should be happy for me. He also said he felt bad for her after the court day.

"Think about it. It's the girl that killed his brother. You'll have to deal with him eventually." He said, as if he read my mind. I shrugged, what he said was the truth. I put my cereal bowl in the sink and dragged my fingers across the table, until it hit a notebook. Carter and I didn't write, so I was quite confused. I opened it and realized who's it was.

"Serena." I said to myself. I knew it wasn't a good idea, but my curiousity was fuming, I had to read it. I swore to myself that I wouldn't freak out over anything inside. I grabbed it and ran upstairs.
