Images and scenes whirled around in my mind like a massive tornado of memories, corrupting my entire brain. First, Liam was standing before me with a rose and a nervous smile, then we were both cuddled on the couch, and then I was watching him walk away from my house for the last time.

I saw my mother smoking her joints, coughing and choking on the smoke, then I was standing at her grave with her co-workers. Next, I was having a sleepover at my old friend's house before I had left for London.

Then I saw bright headlights in front of me, blinding my vidson. My whole world flashed before me and I snapped my eyes open, revealing a highway in front of me. My face was pressed against the cold pavement, and I felt a throbbing pain in my head.

I looked around the highway, taking in the pieces of metal lying on the ground and the large pool of blood in front of me, that only seemed to be getting bigger. "Over here!" I heard, but I didn't see who said it. I couldn't keep my eyes open, it was exausting just to think.

The next time I opened my eyes, I was staring up at a white ceiling, with beeping noises all around me and hushed murmurs coming from somewhere in the room. I tried moving my arm, but it only slightly twitched. I immediatly started panicking; no, I can't be paralyzed. I can't be.

I closed my eyes an concentrated on moving it again, but for the second time, it hardly budged. I tried moving anything else, and it seemed like the only thing I could move was my head. Then, my entire body went numb and I couldn't feel any of my movement attempts. "What's going on?" I faintly heard, but it was hard to hear over the sound of my own beating heart.

"Did she hit her head on anything?" I felt myself slipping away, my vision was fading and the voices could be heard less and less. This is it, I thought to myself. I'm actually taking my last breaths.

"Liam? What happened before you brought her here?" It was silent for a moment, then the same voice said, "She hit her head on a window? How?!"

I wanted to ask who these people were, and I really wanted to see the face of this 'Liam'. There was no way it was the same Liam I'm thinking of.

I passed out thinking of him, with the familiar pain of his absence taking over me once again.

"Are you alright, Liam?" I flinched at the name. I just wake up from a dream about him, and the first thing I hear is his name. How lovely.

No one said anything in reply, and whoever asked him if he was alright said, "Hey, she's gonna be okay. I promise."

Remembering I couldn't budge my arm at all last time, I tried again. I breathed out a sigh of relief when I successfully brought my arm closer to me. "Destiney?"

I slowly opened my eyes and turned towards the voice, squinting through the bright light that filled the room. "Naomi," I whispered and gave her a small smile.

"See! I told you she'd be okay!" Naomi smiled at someone sitting somewhere else in the room. "I'll go get Wence!"

After she left, I shifted my wait so I was sitting upright now. I stared at the boy who was sitting in a chair before my bed, who had his back half-turned away from me and was staring down at something sitting in his lap.

"Um..hey," I mumbled, hoping to get his attention. He shut off what I realized was an iPad, and slowly looked up at me. My breath hitched in my throat as I stared at his face with wide eyes, my mouth falling open. "You-how are you..no, there's no way-"

He furrowed his eyebrows and stood up from the chair, stepping closer to me. "Li-Liam, you're-" I scooted away from him, leaning on the edge of the bed. There's no way he is in front of me, I'm dreaming. I've gone completely insane - or maybe I've died.
