(All credit to Anson Seabra, go check him out on YouTube, he's got some really emotional songs and they are seriously really good. I think this is the underlining of this chapter, like, the hidden theme.)
(Michael Schulte also makes for a good cry. Credit to him as well!)
Fingers traced the spine and cover of the book on the table, the hand shaking slightly while it moved.
A choked sob came out of their mouth as they tenderly opened the worn journal to the writings it exposed, tears dripping onto their clothing.
The wind howled at the Manor's walls, though the crackling fire kept the chill at bay.
It read as follows.
Day 1 of project Dovah!
I decided I am going to try to find a way to turn Parth into a human. Reason: I want him to see my house! I want him to feel what I feel, to know how being a human is, the touch of wood, the feeling of exhaustion after running! All of it!
He's done so much for mortals as a whole, and even though he made a few mistakes along the way, he deserves something in return!
I won't tell him about it until I have shout fully formed, and that might take a few years, but at least I know a transportation spell so I don't have to climb up and down 7,000 steps every time I go out. I can just use some magic, and poof, I'm at the Throat of the World!
As Parth said, Wazah!
Or should it be Dovah?
Whatever. He didn't actually say that, but just say he did.

P.s. I probably won't be journalling everyday, sorry future self!
Roughly, they rubbed their eyes, forcing their hand to turn to the next page even though it was causing their tears. Why would someone bring upon themselves so much guilt and pain by choice?
They blew out a shaky breath.
Day 5 of project Dovah!
I got the first word down!
Vuld- it means to transform. I'll have to use joor somewhere, but I need to make sure it's in the right place. Then, I need to find a word for how long the transformation is.
Ugh, this stuff is super complicated!
Not only do I have to try to create the shout, but I also have to try to learn to shout it. Arngeir is gonna get super mad, but Paarthurnax can tame him (hopefully).
I dunno about the last apprentice who came here (no one will tell me about him!), but even if these old coots are strict, they're kind.
Wulfgar, if I approach him with one of the bottles of wine I found in an extra room, might be willing to help. I'm putting all the extra time I have into this, and I think in a month, I might be able to shout the first part.
