You let out a muffled scream of pain, hand trembling over the huge bite mark across your abdomen. Blood coated your hand, your ruined armor, everything.

Tears streamed from your eyes, creating a clear trail through the dirt and dried blood on your cheeks. Alduin roared in triumph above, circling.

Come on.

You can't give up now.

Get up.

Get up!

With a hand lit with healing pressed to your wound, you fumbled around for your bow with the other, grasping the dragon bone and clenching it hard in your hand.

Your head pounded, over and over again, and you felt like it was nearly going to explode.

"Dovahkiin!" the huge, black-scaled dragon roared mockingly, "You are weak!"

You pushed yourself up from the rock you'd hidden behind, leg muscles straining with the slightest movement you made.

And yet you grabbed an arrow from your quiver, arms wailing in agony and eyes slowly kindling with what little fire was left in your veins.

"Zu'u los laat do dii eylok, ahrk Zu'u fen ni dir het (I am the last of my kind, and I will not die here)," you rasped out quietly, struggling for breath.

Alduin landed in front of you, eyes narrowed and mouth curved in a wicked grin with teeth sharper than a newly grinded dagger.

"Submit," he growled.

"Zu'u los laat do dii eylok, ahrk Zu'u fen ni dir het," you muttered out.

You nocked your arrow. Alduin merely let out a plume of smoke through his nostrils- mocking.

And you shot that fucker straight in his eye.

"For my god damn apple orchard I have to take care of," you hissed, drawing another as the dragon roared, retreating quickly as he shot himself back in an attempt to protect himself.

You let the arrow fly after a concentrated moment of aiming, getting his wing.

"For the fucking wine that's waiting for me," you snarl, breathing labored as you got another arrow into your bleeding hands.

He let out an ear-shattering shriek, and you didn't even blink, firing straight into the thickest membrane of his right wing once more, mere fingertips from the other arrow.

"For being forced to do this," you growl, throwing your bow to the ground and whipping out a dagger attached to your hip.

You approached the dragon with long strides, not an inch of doubt in your head.

"Alduin," you barked, the massive beast swung his head to you with a low rumble. "Submit, otherwise I take out your other eye and kill you here."

"Hi lorot wah miik zey aaz? Meyus! (You think to offer me mercy? Foolish!)" He rasped, a low gnarl from his throat.

"Hi mindok nid do meyus, World-Eater. (You know nothing of foolish, World-Eater)."

"You are weak!" the dragon bellowed once more, "Weak!"

You, in a dash of movement, vaulted onto his neck, grabbing his horns and refusing to let go as he shook his head vigorously and even attempted to bash you into a rock.

You slammed your dagger between a gathering of scales, snarling. "Submit!"

"No!" he cried, "I will never submit, Dovahkiin! I am firstborn of-"

You yanked your dagger out and stabbed it back in a new spot, nearly falling off due to a rather sharp movement of Alduin's head.

"You are nothing!" you shouted, thu'um ringing in the air so much so it shook the ground beneath, "You have nothing! No one fights for you! Submit!"

"Dovah stand-"

"-with me! Submit!" you roared.

"No!"

"Go hah dov!" you shouted, throat burning as you gasped for breath, "Submit!"

The beast, affected by the bend will, finally dropped himself to the ground.

"Zu'u qiilaak (I submit)," he rumbled.

You let out a quiet, choked nose of relief.

Black clouded your vision, and you had no choice but to fall into it.
