Chapter 3: The Sky Under The Sea

Jenna's POV

After awhile of just sitting on the beach looking at the ocean while snuggled in Vic's arms my crying had finally stopped. We stood up and started walking back to Mike and the rest. When we got there they were talking about funny things that had been happening on tour when Jamie blurted out, "I'm hungry... we should start a fire and have hot dogs!!!" everyone laughed at the expression on his face. He was smiling like a 3 year old and his eyes were open wider than the ocean.

"There's a store not too far from here, I'll walk down and pick some stuff up if you want" I said hoping to just get away for awhile. I felt like this was a dream and I wanted to make sure it was real.

"I'll come with you!" Mike smiled, "I want to pick up some beer, and you're not old enough...haha"

"Okay lets go then" I said kinda nervous because Mike is so cool, and well I'm me, and spending time alone with him scares the shit out of me.

"Jaime!" Vic said, "go find some wood and me and Tony will start making a fire. Oooo and Jenna, you should grab some marshmallows" Vic gave me the cutest smile and with that me and Mike left.

Mike and I walked in silence for the first few minutes. I looked over at him and he seemed to be thinking.

~Mikes POV~

As me and Jenna were walking I was thinking about to what to say to her. I wanted to ask if everything was okay because, I saw her while she was walking on the beach with Vic, I saw her break down in tears. I thought that maybe it was because Vic had brought up something that probably upset her, and I didn't want to make that mistake and have her cry again, so instead I asked "How far is the store?" It out a little whinier than I wanted too.

"Just another minute or two down the road. And don't worry a little walking never killed anybody" she joked.

"Well it might kill me, you never know" I said sarcastically. We continued walking talking about music. Jenna had such a great taste in music. She blushed when I asked her about her favourite band, she said "well I'm not sure if you have heard of them before but, there's these four guys, and their all crazy. Most of them covered in tattoos and Mexican. I think their called Pierce the Veil or whatever." There was a crazy smile on her face and she looked away from me when she finished.

"I've heard those guys are crazy talented" I laughed. "so what's your favourite song??"

"Stay Away From My Friends, or Props and Mayhem" She said shyly.

~Jenna's POV~

"We're here," I said glad that we didn't have to talk about my obsession with his band anymore, "Now what do we need?"

"You grab the hotdogs, buns and marshmallows, and I will get drinks and chips" "oh and do you drink beer? You don't have too if you don't like it, I just don't want you feeling left out, although Vic usually doesn't drink much" Mike was rambling. God he was so cute when he rambled.

"I'll have a beer, I've never drank before though, but it can't taste too bad can it?" Mike laughed at me and walked over to the beer fridge. Once we paid for all the stuff and started walking back me and Mike seemed to be finally getting along without too much awkwardness. It took way less time getting back than I thought but when we arrived I was pleased to see Vic, Jaime and Tony all sitting by the fire smiling.

"FOOD!!!!" Jaime yelled as he ran from his spot to come and steal the bags away from me, "ITS MINE!!! ITS ALL MINE"

Everyone was laughing as Tony stared running around chasing Jaime. It didn't take long for Jaime to get tired and give up, taking the food out of the bags and put hotdogs on sticks for everyone.

As the day went on we all sat around the fire eating marshmallows and drink beer, which isn't as bad as I thought it would be, I listened to the guys tell funny stories for what seemed like hours. I guess it was a long time because when I looked at my phone it was nearly 4, which means I should be home in like 5 minutes. My mom would understand if I was late but I should probably get going it was a 20 minute walk from the beach.

I stood up and put my bag on and looked at the boys not really knowing what to say so I just said "I...I um have to go home, but um thanks for everything, and like hanging out and stuff." I was turning to leave when Vic said "wait! You can't just leave us like this. Just let us clean up and then we can walk you home."

"Oh...no you don't have too, you guys should enjoy the beach, it gets really nice when the sun goes down." I started to walk away when Vic jumped up and then looked at the boys and said "I'm going to walk Jenna home to make sure she's, um, safe. You guys know how to get back to the bus, I'll see you later."

"Okay Vic," Tony said "bye Jenna, see you soon" He had a big grin on his face, I don't know why. Everyone else said their goodbyes and the Vic and I started walking to my house.

I was a little bit tipsy and feeling kinda nauseous as we were walking. It was probably because I hadn't eaten anything today. Liquids only except for dinner, I reminded myself. Vic was looking at me funny, but I had no idea why.

~Vic's POV~

As Jenna and I were walking I couldn't help but notice she was a bit wobbly. She did only have one and a half beers but I remember Mike saying something about how this was her first time. I was looking at her when her face went pale. "Did you eat anything before you drank sweetie?" ugh why did I call her that, she's gonna think I'm a creep.

"Um no" She said sheepishly.

"Well I guess we should have told you that you should never drink on an empty stomach, because this will happen" I gestured to her legs and mocked how she was walking. Jenna burst out laughing and just said "Maybe next time I'll know better"

I took this opportunity to hold Jenna's hand, 1, because she looked like she was about to fall over and 2, because...I wanted to feel closer to her. Am I crazy? I know I just met this girl, but I can't help but feel that I want to get to know her...much better.
